The reason I don't is just that it's not very satisfying when too low, and burns wicks when too high; and the sweet spot in the middle doesn't exist, or exists so fleetingly that it's not worth the bother.
Thanks yep, though I don't worry about it - as you say, wattage mode works fine, but I would be interested to try out the theoretical nirvana where it's just right without having to toggle the fire button semi-consciously during a long draw, but since I do that without thinking it's not a problem.I use TC (when I can) but I have a few mods that don't do it (or don't do it well) so I do both.
It is a different feeling vape, because it's not getting hotter and hotter like it does with wattage so it can feel unsatisfying. It shouldn't burn the wick though, that's kind of the whole point.
I think it is a set up issue though, when you get it right, it's great... it's a bit of a balance adjusting the wattage available and the max temp though.
There's nothing wrong with wattage though, so if it works for you don't worry about it. I use it mainly because I have a bad habit of vaping the tank dry because I'm not paying attention to liquid levels.
Ah yep, I did try that a bit too, interesting, it's a bit strange when it reproduces the same draw, didn't much get on with that eitherI use Replay on my DNA mods.
Fair enough, thanks. I'm perfectly satisfied with the vape I'm getting, it's more scientific curiosity than anything, and wondering how many folk use TC routinely so I will keep playing with the idea.I could go into all the do's and dont's of TC but the Puremax just takes all the frustration out of it, honestly, as someone who has used TC for years, yes, it is that good.
But even just vaping SS in straight watts doesn't get hotter and hotter. It gets gradually cooler, just no dry hit protection. It is a different feeling vape, because it's not getting hotter and hotter like it does with wattage so it can feel unsatisfying. It shouldn't burn the wick though, that's kind of the whole point.
