Anyone tried the kanthal-a-like. Crazy cheap....

NOOB QUESTION ALERT!!!!!! Right I've just taken stock of the wire I've acquired over the past few months, and most of it is UD or crazy wire, and some UD pre mades. Does this wire require cleaning before use, or will burning do the job? I seem to get a funky taste with new builds, even though I usually glow and quench new coils before wicking.

I don't think I've used SV before but I might have to keep my existing stuff for emergency use if their stuff is far superior.

Edit: Damn the OSCILLATION-OVERTHRUSTER is out of stock, and I really wanted one (I think).

Possibly the wires covered in machine oil, @stealthvapes is thoroughly clean throughout.

I used to use Crazywire, Rob at SVs is far superior imo

The standard Issue 0.50mm is good stuff, no probs whatsoever. I'm liking the Beadalon elastic spool bands as well.

As has been said, always helpful, great service and just to add that Rob was a total gent about some of my newbie stoopid questions. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
