Steam crave v3 mesh help

With Coils in my Aromamizer i either use the Wotofo Cotton or 3 Cotton Laces for the Mesh, and i use Muji Pads for normal coils, for 3mm id coils cut the Pad in half then cut in half again, i then peel the membrane off roll up then wick, no dry hits and a perfect vape for me. Regarding mesh i never cut at an angle and always do a straight cut, push the cotton back towards the coil so you have like a bowtie looking from the side, tuck the bottom half of the cotton into the juice well and give the top half a bit of a trim, it works for me that way

My wicking won't yet be perfect, but i am getting a good vape, better than falcon which will be demoted to when I am at work

Its no doubt cost me a quid or 2 in failures to get this far btf I expected it to, but thanks to this thread far far less than it could have, or worse if I gave up

So a big thanks to everyone that has contributed! Both for how to do things and other products that are more suitable.

I would definitely looks a getting a pack of the Wotofo mesh strips, I remember when the SteamCrave mesh decks started to come out people were saying the supplied strips weren't great. I used the Wotofo mesh in mine & it was fine, even without a ceramic block, it was just no where on the same level as the Unity or Kylin M so I've stuck with the dual coil deck

I wanted to chime in just to say this. The Supreme V3 is a great atty, perhaps my favorite among the ones that I have. But the mesh implementation is meh at best. It's usable, but it's nowhere near the Profile M, Profile Unity or Zeus X Mesh. I don't know what it is, but the flavor isn't quite there on the v3 and the vape isn't as... I dunno, I wanna say juicy and full, but I don't know if that gets my message accross.

Although I love mesh, I think the v3 is wasted with it. Single coil deck is a banger when used with single battery mods (use it on my Voopoo Drag X Plus with either some 0.21Ω Aliens from Coilology or some huge Clapton Helix Coils from Vandy Vape), but the dual coil postless deck is where it's at with the v3. Can't be beat IMO.

I just wanted to post an update on my previous post. I wanted to use the Supreme V3 with my Drag X Plus because, well, I like it a lot and it's great for use outside home just due to the sheer capacity it offers. It does look a bit ridiculous on there, but I love it. Thing is, I almost exclusively use the V3 with the postless deck, but unless you're using puny coils it's a no bueno with a single battery mod. So I had to decide between the single coil deck and the mesh deck. Seeing as I love mesh in general, I decided to go with it. As I previously said, using the SC mesh was a meh experience at best, Wotofo's are much better. I had bought a pack of NexMesh Turbo and NexMesh Extreme strips, so I decided to use the Extreme. Well, it doesn't fit, it's too wide, so it need a bit of trimming. I also decided to do a bit of research, and remembered that SC suggest flipping the airflow ring upside down for mesh (using the middle airflow options, with two rows of holes). I did that and oh boy, what a difference. It's actually pretty good! Is it as good as the Profile M, Unity or Zeus X Mesh? No, no it's not. But it's more than usable and provides a nice vape. 75W provides enough warmth too!

Below you can see it next to my Vaporesso Gen X with the Blotto on it.

Have you thought about using some higher resistance wire? It might work as long as they’re not too big.

Not while using the Drag X+, but I did try some with the V3. I got a pair of Wotofo's 0.5Ω Aliens. I absolutely hated the combo. Perhaps it was the atty, or maybe the juice I was using, but it just didn't work for me. Starting at 40W I could get no flavor and going up to 70W I started getting some off taste, tending to burnt. Thing is, nothing in between worked either.

I will try with a pair of 0.3Ω 2.5mm ID Aliens from Coilology at some point, but for use with a single battery mod I like what I'm getting right now. Also, it seems mesh works better with the 7mm chimney, though I generally prefer the v3 with the 5mm one.
