Steamcrave aromamizer plus v3 issues

Getting some serious annoyance today with the mesh deck and commercial mesh strips. I first used the mesh deck with old SS mesh I had from genesis days, don't even recall if it is 300 or 400 grade, but it worked beautifully in the aromamizer supreme v3. Today I decided to rebuild it using some Steamcrave Kanthal mesh strips and for the life of me I was getting hot spot after hot spot after hot spot. It's far from my first time building a mesh deck, I've built the Gevolution 2 and Taifun BT clones many times with no issue.
Is it the "commercial" mesh which is stiffer than the old SS strip? Or is it the fact that in the Taifun BT and Gevolution you can pull the mesh with your hand and really tighten it around the cotton? I don't believe it's a wicking issue, I see a hotspot appearing on the top edge of the mesh dome. Maybe I cut the wick too sharply so it doesn't wick adequately there, however I tried with a loose wick, a tighter wick, I repositioned the mesh strip and about that time I realised I've faffed with this deck for longer than in the past 2 months of rebuilding so I just stuck a coil in and now vaping happily :P

My aromamizer plus v3 turns up tomorrow so I'm hoping I manage to get it wicking right. It's my first steamcrave product so fingers crossed

You'll be fine, the aromamizers are solid products. All you need to take care with is to really just lay the ends of the cotton on the juice ports, don't stuff them through or jam them in otherwise you'll get dry hits.

Thank you. Took your advice and wow! What a beast of a tank.

It’s very good indeed, and great value for money if you get the swapable decks.

However talking of cloudy RTAs with amazing flavour nothing has beaten the Fatality M25 in my books. Pity is my own managed to somehow get bent and basically rendered unusable.

I will have to check that out... all ways on the hunt for my next purchase

I know.. it's just crazy. Now for a new mod for my aromamizer... currently it's sat on my odin but my valkyrie now needs a new home. Again open to suggestions. I do prefer a more sturdy sitting mod. Don't want my nice new tanks toppling over and smashing the tank

I would like to have a word with you about the Blotto Max. I haven't tried the Fatality (was on the verge of getting one, before I saw the Blotto Max was out), but I can't see how it would really be better than the Blotto Max. Unless your huge f-all coils need tons of power and thus tons of airflow to be cooled, this thing is absolutely amazing.

Now, after getting burned by getting the Wotofo Profile X and being very (and I mean VERY) disappointed, I'm starting to think if I should get the Plus v3, seeing as my Supreme v3 is probs my favorite tank so far. The only thing that scares me is the size. I can't really picture the size, how much bigger it would be than my Fat Rabbit and Supreme v3. If I'm not mistaken, it's not really taller than the Supreme, just wider. Or am I wrong? Anyway, my only mod that can accomodate a 30mm atty is the Grus, and I'm not using the damn Plus v3 with a single battery mod, no matter how good it is.
