stripped 510 connector

well its happened!

the 510 connector is stripping on my beloved Cana DNA30 :-(

The mod has been my workhorse for the last few months (even though I have numerous other box mods) - this one just works!

Now, the thread hasn't completely gone yet, but some of my atties will not 'bite' whilst I can get other on it but are loose. Visually, the thread looks ok, but it has worn

SO, the question is there any quick and simple fix I could try?

I don't have the tools, patience or the inclination to take it apart and replace the 510 connector, unless it really is simple and a straight swap out

I would hate to lose the use of this mod - any suggestions folks?

BAVapes - hi Jet, tagging you in as I got this from you and I recall that you managed to change the 510 connector on one of these mods, but can't find that thread. Could you please repost? cheers buddy!

For the threads to strip out in such a short time maybe you should consider sending it off to one of the fine modders on the forum
and have them replace the 510 connector with a Varitube or FDV connector

For the threads to strip out in such a short time maybe you should consider sending it off to one of the fine modders on the forum
and have them replace the 510 connector with a Varitube or FDV connector

that is an option, but probably cost prohibitive, given the cost and variety of 30w-50w mods available these days

I've not really 'looked after it' as such and always chopping and changing atties which I am sure hasn't helped the threads.

I will drop the modders a pm and see what kind of cost we are talking about

I remember using one of those on my first mod, a Vamo to prolong the life of the threads

To replace is mate you need a soldering iron, drill and m10 x 1 tap

I've never modded anything before (until the above photo previously posted)

But it took me no longer than 10minsish

If you can't do it a modder here will oblige im sure

I have actually not changed the 510 on a Cana before, it was an MVP2 that I changed the 510 on. I just smacked the old one out with a mallet and soldered a new one in. I do not recommend doing that to your Cana though.

I think a fat daddy 510 would look great on it though! get something spring loaded!

Fat Daddy Vapes V4 22mm Low Profile would be a nice upgrade. Just fitted a V4 22mm Low profile and a V4 with the 22mm top ring to a pair of rDNA's I have.
