Suitable toolkit for mesh builds?

Hi all,
I have a Geekvape Zeus mesh RTA arriving in a few days ( my first rebuildable ) and although I assume I'll need some sort of toolkit in addition to whatever it arrives with, I suspect that a lot of the toolkits are more tailored for coiled wires, not mesh.

Is there a toolkit out there that I should look for, or are all of them merely kind of ok / utterly useless for mesh builds?

Thanks,
Fran

All you'll need that doesn't come with it is a small pair of sharp scissors and something with a pointed end to tease and fluff the cotton.
Enjoy its a great tank.

Thanks... I got a decent nail care set as a xmas gift a couple of years ago, I'll see if I can make do with the pokey things, proddy things and snippy things in there for the time being.

You do need proper sharp scissors tbh. I had to buy new ones when I got a mesh tank as the ones I had were useless and I ended up hacking away for ages just due to the sheer amount of cotton you use with mesh.

It does make a difference.

Hi and welcome!

As above, you'll get all you need with the tank. You basically just curve the mesh strips around the supplied plastic rod which gives it the perfect shape.

One thing I would advise is buying the OFRF mesh strips as you get 10 for around £5-6. Works out much cheaper than the Geek Vape Strips. You do need to either trim a mm of each side of the OFRF strips to fit the Zeus deck, or trim the corners off at a 45° angle.

As for cotton, I find my Zues (and other mesh tanks) work best with Vandy Vape M Cotton. I've tried a lot of other brands but always come back to this.

If you need any tips on how to wick it tag me and I'll dig out some pics.

Enjoy!

Thx John, I was intending on using a dremel to widen the slot to allow use of standard width mesh strips rather than have to trim every strip. I saw it suggested somewhere, and I hadn't seen any replies to that saying that it was a terrible idea?
