SXK Bantam Box by Pro Vapes

Bit of a bonus for me. The Crossbow clone, that I've had connection issues with in the Billet Box, works fine in the Bantam. The 510 connection screws down properly, whereas it won't in the BB.

My Bantam Box arrived today and so I will give my first impressions.

Overall build quality is very impressive. It is as solid as a Billet Box and feels quite weighty for it's size. This is a positive for me. The panels are the same build quality as an SXK BB and look very similar. The fit is very good and there is only a tiny amount of movement, which is not noticeable in normal use. I will probably change these a set of different ones when they appear. I don't like the drip tip as it's too wide for me. No deal breaker there.
There is a small screen on the top of the device, which can be flipped. I can quite easily read the wattage and just about make out the coil resistance. Of course this is no DNA device and is wattage only. 5 - 30 watts. This is fine for me. The Bantam seems to read the coil accurately and deliver the power as expected.
Included is a Boro style tank, which is full size and contains an annoying insert to make it TPD. Just rip it out and good to go. You also get Aspire bridge with a 1.8ohm Nautilus coil, a Kanger bridge and a simple RBA bridge.
Rather than do a new build I just swapped in an existing Boro with Vapeshell. Worked perfectly straight away.
It's a very cleverly designed and executed device for it's size. It really depends on whether you like the aesthetic and can live with 30 watts max, no TC and a smaller battery. For how I use it, it really does perform as good as a Billet Box but in mini form.

hi whats the flavour like on these bantman box just ordered one

Flavour is totally dependent on what coil or RBA you put in the Boro tank. I would recommend putting a Vapeshell in there. You have to buy that separate btw. Produces excellent flavour for me. Also the Exocet and the Crossbow also produce great flavour.
The Bantam does come with a bridge/ adapter for Nautilus coils and one for Kanger coils. Also a simple RBA is included.

IMO to get the best flavour you need to get a decent rebuildable option, as mentioned above. Building coils does take a bit of practice and a bit of research but is totally worth it in the end.

@Dean20! I would agree with @rew you should get yourself a vapeshell, it’s very good. I don’t have a bantam box but use one in my billet box. I think it’s my favourite of the rebuildable inserts I’ve got for it, after spending a bit of time going going between them.

Well been using Bantam all day. Battery has lasted from 9am to 7pm at 13.5 watts, using about 2.5 ml of juice. Not too bad by my expectations. Just waiting for the MF bridge and hoping the Vaporesso EUC coils work well.

Be interesting to know how it goes with the EUC coils, waiting for the adaptor myself.

I'm still glad I cancelled my pre order. It looks great, ticks all of my boxes but if I bought nothing for 2 years, I'd still have too much [emoji849]

Yep, have way too much myself. Am trying to slow down, but if something really appeals I'm lost
