Agreed with @Tubbyengineer im too cheap to spend £75 per roll for backdrops I just use kingsize bed sheets :-P

Photoshop is your friend, levels > alter sliders > dodge = pure white

I sometimes use coloured backdrops, Deep blue or Red tend to work well with shinies...

Again im too cheap :-P id just slap a gel in front of the light lol or layer mask PS

Yep, I'm cheap too, my mother is a home sewer so I just run off with some of her stash of material...

This thread seems an appropriate venue for people to be impressed with Gentleman X's skills with a camera.

As you can see he was so desperate to make a trade for one of my mods he left no stone unturned in his efforts to hit me with the wow factor.

My mrs writes an online beauty blog and is always taking photos of products she reviews. I've just shown her this and she was mightily impressed. She is no photography expert (but she does know her shit when it comes to lipstick) and she said she'll definitely be using this technique!

Nice. That's the same filter that Playboy used to use in the 80s.
