My reading of the 8 missed calls is more along the lines of weve left the EU dont speak to them we dont/cant be seen to be needing their help regardless of the consequences(even if it is unnecessary deaths)
You are clearly going through a terrible ordeal at the moment(that most of us cant even imagine)and at a not insignificat psychological cost and I can only offer my appreciation and wish you well

Three weeks ago I was tested for Covid as I had pneumonia. The doctor came back into the room wearing cloves, a gown and a face mask with a plastic shield open at the sides and above his face. First thing he said to me after explaining i was to be tested for covid was "Not to be scared" - I replied that if that was all the protection he had to wear, then he was the one who needed to be worried. Fortunately for me the test came back negative. Unfortunately for the doctor he likely has had to go on and test/treat others with the same poor kit. Brave man.
It's disgusting that our leaders let this get so out of hand.
