The Mirror is at it again

Another complaint sent off to IPSO for breaching clauses 1,2 & 4 (decided to add harassment as well this time as the jerkwad seems to be engaging in a smear campaign).

I recieved an email this morning from the Mirror to say that they have looked at my complaint and feel that they have not breached any codes of practice. They also provided a link to the original article that has now been amended(E-cigarette health scare erupts as officials highlight "serious" cancer risk of vaping - Mirror Online) That quotes Dr Farsilinos, Which coincidentally was the exact same quote that I used in my complaint to them. I have replied to them telling them that I was not happy with the results of their investigation and I will be contacting IPSO again, as instructed by them if I was unhappy with the Mirror's response. So It's back to waiting for IPSO's response now!!!

I thought I was going mad when I read the amended article!!! But I know there was no mention of Dr Farsilinos in the original draft!!! Unless I'm going Senile which is a distinct possibility!!!

There wasn't. They believe they can avoid a retraction by retrospectively offering a balancing argument. They can't, they have just admitted they're wrong by doing so.

I've just emailed IPSO and told them of the recent correspondence with The Mirror!!! I hope you don't mind DaveX but I more or less copied and pasted part of your previous post about retrospectively providing a balanced argument!!! as you had worded it so eloquently I felt it would be remiss of me not to use it!!!
