The Sun

I didn't ask if you brought it or not.
I can safely assume from the reply's, that you didn't see the full page e-cig article on page 44 then.
It appears that it is an advert, but it does a very good job of blowing lookylikes outta the water. While promoting ego style second generation stuff.
I can't get a copy of the page accept this http://www.xgopro.co.uk/
These are the people that have put it in, it's not the same page. The one in the paper has a lot more info, instead of the order form. And laid out differently.

Sooo... a 650mah ego, CE4, usb charger and 10mls of juice for only £34 delivered?

The sad thing is that a lot of folk considering trying vaping will see this, think it's a bargain and get ripped off before they find their way to places like POTV and realise they've overpaid.

Still, on the bright side if it gets them off fags and into vaping then it can't be all bad.

The starter kits like these are usually overpriced, even those from market stalls (which I estimate have up to 300% mark-up on them).

However, despite the fact that I was overcharged (£20 for an ego/ce4 set plus 10ml of unbranded juice) and falsely marketed (as 900mAh when it actually contained a battery of no more than about 600mAh), it was still enough to get me onto proper vaping, joining this site, investing in DIY supplies and starting the journey of decent tanks and batteries - so I don't regret the £20 outlay (and as it immediately dropped my cig intake by about 15 per day, it quickly paid for itself anyway).

Regardless of price, I'm glad the ego sets are being more widely promoted, as the media/public/politicians seem to be very slow to recognise that cigalikes aren't the the be-all & end-all of vaping (and stop with the "they look like cigarettes" arguments)

steffijade while it does promote the ego style Pv as Fleabag points out is good. i'll type out the first bit as in is in front of me. Nothing added and nothing taken away.

7 reasons why electronic cigarettes DON'T work!
An important warning to all smokers, ex-smokers and... everyone in between

1. The amount of satisfying vapour produced is too small.
2. The build quality of product is often very poor.
3. The batteries don't hold the charge for very long.
4. The atomisation chambers and heating elements aren't powerful enough. (the spelling error is not mine)
5. The e-liquids are often of poor quality.
6. Poor long-term value as the battery units constantly need to be replaced.
7. You are restricted to supplier only refills.

Personally I've never used a lookalike, so I can't comment on any of it. All I know of them is word of mouth.
As what Fleabag also says about being over charged for a starter, compared to prices that you can get. Been there done that, and have moved on to better things as well. And the amount saved on tobacco before shinyitus got me, more than made up for it.

I think most of us paid too much for our first foray into vaping. Amazing how fast we learn though. Although the ad is a rip off, at least it may bring more people to the vaping community. Just a shame there are people and companies cashing in on rebranded cheap stuff being sold at massively inflated prices.
