Drafting a letter to my MP as we speak - this is absolutely petrifying me.

Without trying to be defeatest IF this goes through - again, I have to ask, what do we do?
Stock up on Nic now and freeze?
Concentrates?
Should those that don't DIY start DIY'ing quick-sharp?

This is just absolutely bonkers. And just smacks of corruption and money making for the suits. I know I shouldn't be shocked by that these days but I am. We are getting royally shafted every day by so-called politicians and I don't know what the hell we can do to change it.
Other countries take to the streets and shout and shout and shout but why don't the British do that? We just bend over and suck it up.

I'm not condoning rioting or setting fire to the streets like we see in other countries but WTF do we do and how do we get the whole country doing it?

I'm saddened to say I just can't envision it and this will be how it is for generations

Just like a few months ago, yes stocking up on nic base would be important.

Even if they do ban this, changes of wording, removing nicotine, and selling the components seperately will be the only way we can move forward. They cant BAN batteries. They cant BAN a wire coil around some wick. Theyre idiots if they think they can. You have to remember, these politicians with their pretty educations and nice houses, are thinking on the terms of all ecigs look like CIGALIKES. They refuse to accept the majority of us use things that bare NO resemblance to a cigalike or a real cig. There ARE ways around it, but it turns all of us in lepers in public (again!)

I remain an eternal optimist. They are not going to be able to stop vaping. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

Too many people vape, too many people are discovering how much better it is than smoking there are an estimated 2 million vapers in the UK already and that means there are 2 million families of smokers who've switched that see for themselves the difference it makes.

WTF we do is write to, and visit MPs (who are gearing up for an election soon) and we contact MEPs and get them to talk to the people negotiating with the EU council.

I am en ex-conspiracy theorist. this is how democracy works, we elect people who promise to do things for us when they get elected. they lie a lot and don't do lots of the things they say they will for a great many reasons (all parties are about the same at this) BUT when there is an election coming and they are about to gain a seat or lose a seat on the Political gravy train they are so scared of doing things that will lose them their seat that they tend to take action.

If enough people tell them the same things then it doesn't matter how much lobbying goes on what the people are asking for happens.

Worst case scenario some kind of laws like these proposals will get passed and there will be a year or two where we are all treated like lepers again until those laws are thrown out by the courts. If we get this next bit right and leverage the election then we could well end up with proper laws that do things right in the first place.

2 million in the UK alone...


If everyone printed out 100 flyers and passed them out in letter boxes with info from Clives blog...we could had millions more to our fight.

I do think the government could turn the population against vapours,they have all the spin people ,
It has worked against smokers,people on the dole,people on benefits,people with a spare bedroom,
Students ,immigrants,the list is endless,divide and conquer is the government plan.
Flyers is a good idea,facebook could be used as well .
If nothing is done we will be branded a bunch ,ejuice junkies,
And will be another ready made market for the smugglers,and counterfeit cartel.

Dear Paul Goggins,

This afternoon I heard some very disturbing news emanating from the EU, namely leaked information regarding another attempt to effectively BAN E-cigs. This is after amendment 170 was passed in October this year.

The current proposals are nothing more than Med regs via the back door, and if allowed to be made law will be the death of the Ecig.

My wife and I have been vaping for over 8 months now and have not touched Tobacco (nor felt the need) since we started vaping. All evidence shows that vaping is 3 fold safer then smoking (1000 times safer as stated in the House of Lords) and there is no "second hand vaper issue".

I would like to request a meeting with you so I can explain in more detail what vaping means to me (and millions of others) and how important to the nations health it is.

With that in minds I would appreciate a swift reply with a date and time for an appointment.

In the mean time can I ask that you do the following:

1. Contact Jane Ellison MP, Minister for Public Health to put my views across on my behalf.

2. Contact colleagues on the European Scrutiny Committee to demand that this is scrutinised properly.

3. Relay my concerns to those MEPs who are negotiating with the Council.

Divide and conquer has been a tactic of all governments. Left/right, Labour/Tory, black/white, Christian/Muslim etc. All used to divide and defeat us and they winning
