What's new

Thinking of going back to vaping.

I’m going to try and find my old battery box and bits n bobs so I have a spare as well as getting a new one.

What are salts? That’ll be the next bunch of questions, decent liquids
I always liked cheesecake/ donut-y/ baked type liquids but I’m sure one of the ingredients got banned just before I stopped vaping. It’s all changed now. Really can’t remember what brand I used to buy. Hopefully I’ll find one of the old bottles.
Put simply, salts are a different type of nicotine consumption which are faster acting and generally a bit smoother than traditional freebase liquid. It means (for me) they can surpress cravings a bit, but as a result they’re a no go in any high wattage device. It’s all down to personal preference though.

if you prefer dessert flavours I do tend to prefer these in freebase at high wattages I must admit, nic salts are best for fruits in my opinion

Decent liquids, try Primevapes.

their custards are the best I’ve ever tried. If you’re after some cheap donut options donut king are great and cheap!

Box mod for battery life you won't go far wrong with the Lost Vape Thelema Solo, about 3 days use per battery. Tank you can't go far wrong with the Nautilus 3. A 1.6ohm vaped at 12 watts a coil lasts a good 3 weeks.

Wrong mod, wrong tank, he's already said his preference is DTL.

OP I would probably say get the legend 2 kit if you are of the clumsy nature and want something durable.

If you’re not, I’d suggest the VooPoo Drag 4 kit into the mix. IMO it has the better tank and longer lasting coils than some of the other alternatives mentioned here. At the end of the day all suggestions have been good so go with whatever you like the look of.

I may have complicated things for you talking about salt nic and pods. For now stuck with the mod, but if you’re finding the cigs hard to stop and cravings are bad it might be worth considering a pod of sorts in the future :)

PooPoo are dogshit, but if you like to wallow in it, I'd say Vaporesso are one of the better cheaper offerings, personally if it's not DNA , Yihi or Dicodes I'm not interested tbh.

Gen 200 kit. Great wee mod and surprisingly good stock coil tank. I've been exclusively rebuildables for the last 4 years or so but the itank has actually changed my mindset.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Spent most of last night trying to re educate myself on all this stuff and all the different types of machines.

In a very uncharacteristic for me fashion I didn’t dive in and order anything online or rush out to one of the 4 very local to me vape shops.

I’ve been reading about Squonk boxes. Never new what they were, maybe they didn’t exist when I was last vaping. Is all I’ve been reading about flavour better using a dripper? One of my old issues with vaping was having to carry around bottles of liquid and Squonks seem to solve that problem.

You can probably guess my next question
Anyone have experience of Squonk boxes and all the gubbins for that type of set up?
I still don’t want to get into rebuildables just yet, maybe down the line.

I don't think there are that many regulars who squonk tbh, personally I hate being covered in juice so I sacked it off as a bad job, cos there's one thing you can guarantee, it'll piss everywhere at some point. I don't think there are any stock coil squonking atomisers available. I always used RDA's.

as john said, sqonk = rebuildables.
unless you want to risk the revo (run away run away) :D https://www.e-cigclouds.co.uk/product/aspire-feedlink-revvo-squonk-kit/

as far as i can remember i paid £1.99 for the mod and £1 for a box of round coils and i think the consensus was that was too much.
tbh its ok-ish if you want to try squonking which is exactly why i bought it but its not been used in over 5 years and ive still got 3 coils left.
