What's new

Thinking of going back to vaping.

I'd give another vote for the vaporesso gen 200. The 0.2 coil is absolutely brilliant and lasts for ages. And if you want higher nicotine and salts for starters, you can find a cheap aspire nautilus 3 tank with 1 ohm mesh coils. Best of both worlds there and all needs covered.

Another load of hours spent reading up on all this stuff… seems to never end and I hate too much choice .
So now I’ve read about RTA’s and wonder if they would be a better option than Squonks. I’d avoided RBA’s before because I thought it was more expensive and messy but having read about it now, it’s supposed to be cheaper building your own coils? Doesn’t look that complicated either.
Now I’m thinking if the RTA capacity would be enough for a day to avoid carrying bottles around, they seem be mostly 5ml-ish.
I don’t want to start buying stuff and change course after a couple of days. Hoping to buy it once and be happy with it. I could still have a pack of coils to use when I make a pigs ear of making my own. I’m finding it’s difficult to know how long a battery and fluid will last before I buy one, so whether I need a dual batt box or single. I don’t want to be carrying a heavy brick around all day.

The GeekVape with the ip rated boxes look good and well protected. Are the Vaporesso’s as sturdy or durable?

and now I’m reading about aio’s and Boro’s…. It’s doing my head in all this choice.

If you can MTL when out then yes, a day is feasible, if you're all about the clouds, then no.

I’ve never tried drippers, is there that much difference in flavour between an RTA and a Sub Ohm tank?

I remember thinking mtl was a bit lame when I first started so I went for the gen 200. I have come back to mtl though as I like Tobacco flavours and the wife moans that two puffs on the DL fills the room and you can't see the telly. So it's not always practical in small spaces. I've just bought my first rta and it took a little more practice than I expected but a week or so and I've got it licked. The choices are endless and I'm still not totally sure why. But if you can pick a few things up in sales then you can see what you like. Curiosity always gets the better of you and you will no doubt be looking at new shiny things.

Mate, my 2c - I would just grab one of those Gen mods - they're cheap and very decent. Get a tank you fancy, or try the one with the gen. You can always get into rebuildables later. (It's a lot cheaper, and IMO better, but the important thing is not to get yourself of the smokes ATM, the learning can come later. )

Hello by the way, and welcome :)
