Third time of trying to vape and get rid of the smokes

I think the simple answer is you're not ready for it. Whether it's the attraction of the multitude of flavours, or the hobby side of the equipment or the novelty of a genuine alternative experience, these have to be married to a real desire to quit smoking and a belief that vaping will work.

I've seen many people take their first puff on an ecig and it's easy to spot the ones who will take to it. It's a state of mind.

Is it advisable to use patches with vaping? no nic overdose? :P

It's very easy to overdose and there's no reason to use patches. It could actually work against you as you'd need to use a reduced nicotine level in your vape which would then be less enjoyable.

I see what you are saying, but I need to stop as I am smoking far to much and I do like vaping, I just can't get over my cravings. I quess I have an addictive personality.

You've got to get yourself a better setup. You'll get a much better nicotine hit. A lot of people move from egos to Isticks and get a better tank such as a Nautilus. The difference will be quite noticeable.

I will certainly look into that, I am just weary as I have already spent so much funds on vaping but perhaps this could be part of the answer.

I could only use tobacco juices at first. Took me 3-4 months to go to RY4 type juice then on to fruits.
Now cant stand tobacco at all,

I had the 10mg ones and was on 18mg juice. The smoking cessation nurse advised me to do it and prescribed the patches. Never looked at it like that!

I took to it straight away. Substandard gear going wrong. Leaking coils dying or not producing enough vapour was a major factor on not doing it the first couple of times. That and working on building sites full of smokers.

Almost all vapers have addictive personalities so there is hope for you.
Perhaps you have to use the vape to reduce rather than to stop your smoking in the short term.
Not something I normally recommend but it is a path some people take with success.
Or perhaps it is just getting the right bit of kit as others have said.
Believe it can be done, do not beat yourself up if you relapse and you can do it.
good luck

I will look into the Istick, it doesn't say anything to me but will do some research :)
