I don't see it as too difficult really, if you cant get the proper rules in place to comply with the law then you don't open. They've had months from the start of the lockdown to prepare but they haven't done.

Agreed ................ it was my job to enforce ................ ahem ............. research and arrange GDPR compliance at work.

Sounds like you did it very expertly too In my organisation we have to pass a GDPR test every year. I also used to handle criminal intelligence so we had to know every bit of the law surrounding it. DPA and GDPR will be forever imprinted on my brain!!

If i honestly thought me leaving my contact details would result in a female employee calling me up to have sex with me, id leave em, but lets be honest, its always the creepy guy calling the girl.

Either way, i just dont being on lists. Typically, if my name winds up on a list, its not a good list to be on

I'm also very aware because we're an auction ................... and OH used to know an art forger who (many years ago) used to cobble together 'provenance' by stealing paperwork from bin bags out the back of Sotheby's ................

I'd say you need to get out more but I think that phrase has been made redundant.

But then you have the effects on the economy. They want to get things open again as soon as they reasonably can to protect jobs and reduce the inconvenience for people of being in lockdown. They don't want to make more busineses go under and more people lose their jobs just because not everyone is fully compliant with GDPR.

Ha ha criminals can be quite ingenious really, that's not a bad scam really.

I get that, but I still don't think businesses should open until they can do it safely and legally?
