Hi. Tried the ciggy things advertised in the press 5 years ago after my first heart attack, bloody useless, gave up on them after a very short trial. Recently had a bad fall and broke my hip, needed to give up the weed for the op to work. Obviously had time to research on my lap-top about a device I had seen one of the chaps at work using. The choice is mind boggling as a newbie, very difficult to decide what to plunge for. As I had a previous failure, I did not want to commit to much money to the trial, but am aware that you get what you pay for. I opted for an EGO-CE4 KIT from Really Electronic Cigarettes, I also opted to try their Virginia E-Liquid (having smoked Golden Virginia roll-ups for the last 20 years). I have to say, this is an ideal starter kit, as I am now hooked on vaping, the rolling tin and half a pouch of tobacco are in the bin! Love this site and all the great advice, got loads of time before my hip is better so been ordering loads of flavours and mixers to play about with, even ordered my first variable voltage bit of kit, the wife will go mad when she sees the bill, but what the heck! Vaping is not simply an experience or a hobby, it is an endeavour!

Fantastic 6027david, good for you, it will now become a hobby like it has with me, plus a great experience, I moved on up to a variable voltage sigelei, wow what can I say different altogether, different juice flavours like different voltages to get optimum flavour etc, as I learned on here. Happy learning :)
I smoked golden virginia for 35 years, glad to hear you put it in the bin. Now you will start to feel much better, good luck to you.

Great intro mate and whilst it can seem expensive what price health? I could smoke my GV rollies quite cheaply but I've lost the chest infections, the breathlessness, the stink, ...I could go on :)

Hi, 6027david well done and welcome to the planet, loads of god fun and advice on here! As someone who currently has her arm in an external metal fixation after breaking it into 5 pieces, I know about hospitals and recovery!! I hope you're recovering well and able to get about ok now. I must warn you though, convalescing with a laptop (and a paypal account) has it's dangers.... I've been drawn into the strange world of mixing my own juices, it's great fun and will eventually save me money, well, that's what I tell my other half!!
