UD Ni80 + Kanthal A1 26ga + 32ga Clapton

Evening all

Just wondered if anyone has used this wire and what builds they did and thoughts best. Looking at doing 8-9 wraps to come in at between 0.4 & 0.5Ohm.

Also as this is Ni & Kanthal can I vape in Ni mode?

Ni80 is Nichrome, which you shouldn't use in TC(Ni) mode. It is a low resistance alloy, but nowhere near as low as pure Nickel or Ni200, which is used more for fairly low ohm builds such as me, my Mechs and my drippers use.

But the 0.4mm Nichrome wrapped in the 0.15mm kanthal does make for a tasty Clapton!!

Funny you should say that, he did send me some mesh and I already have an avocado and Haze which are Genesis style! Haven't got round to a build yet.

Not sure about mech's, cannot trust meself! I'm looking to get some fused Clapton wire, would you recommend Nichrome?

Someone mention mesh and Gennys? Claptons don't work so well with mesh you know. Might be OK if you can flatten them

Thanks I hopefully I find a good guide here or on YouTube when I come to that build, wouldn't have a scooby otherwise!

Depends on what device you have and what atty you want to put the fused coils in.
It doesn't really matter I suppose on a big Box mod, it'll just come down to personal preference.

Ah, frak it, go with Nichrome cores....

Thank you. Will do, at the moment I'm only using an Evic mini but am thinking of getting a DNA200 box but need to see what the hope is about and what they'll give me above my beloved mini!
