UK Gov To Ban Disposables?

Is the Daily Record considered reliable ?
By all you guys north of the border ?
@Rickster @John R

No....but there possibly may be some truth in it...any excuse the Scottish Gov can get to leak n get in there before London and steal the gravy.....most likely leaked (if half true) by some advisor for a pint of lager n a pie.
Scotland would ban them tomorrow just to keep the greens happy whilst allowing in all the banned XL killer American bull dogs...the later having injured and killed more people than disposables...fkin mental.

To be fair, they're not as sensationalist as the Sun, but if they can pitch a story to fit their agenda they will do.

wouldn’t surprise me if it turns out this was part of the BT astroturf plan
Bearing in mind that whatever proposed new vape regs are all gonna be cobbled in together with incremental tobacco prohibition, I highly doubt it...

a highly regulated and restricted vape market looks better for them than what currently exists.

It's also reported in the Telegraph but you can't read that without a subscription.
Also in the Daily Mail -

Single use vapes will be banned in England to prevent children and young people getting hooked, the Government is expected to announce next week.
As part of its response to a consultation on vaping and cigarettes, ministers are expected to detail the plans on Monday.

On top of the ban, a crackdown on how e-cigarettes are marketed and the flavours they come in is expected, as well as a higher tax for the products.
