UK Gov To Ban Disposables?

I`ve written to my MP asking her to explain the thinking behind introducing new legislation rather than getting the TSO to do their job and why the flavour restrictions, let`s see if she comes back.
As should every vaper, retailer, distributor and manufacturer. Great job.

My last exchange ended with me following my MP down the road as he scurried away from my front door. I took him to task for his demonstrably failed wishy Brexit thinking, his pathetic responses to my points about vaping, and his laughable suggestion that he knows better than me because he is “clever”.

I enjoyed myself even if it achieved absolutely nothing.

@Mawsley I'm thinking about contacting my MP.. but a few queries...
https://members.parliament.uk/

First I'm not even sure which MP to contact (although I will probably contact both), as I have a different MP for where my home address is, as to the business address.

One of them, Rachael Maskell, is (maybe quite notoriously) very anti-vape, and has been behind anti-vape bills (or whatever) in Parliament, and I think has told mistruths there. She seems totally entrenched in her opinions about vaping.

I also would not be sure how to approach either of them in respect to underage vaping, as although I don't think it should be encouraged, I think it's better they vape instead of smoke (I have applied that same way of thinking to my own kids), and I wonder if that might sabotage any other things I would want to convey about tobacco harm reduction.

Also, due to being in the vape industry, I obviously have (or can be accused of) vested interests...

Being in the vape industry doesn`t disbar you from having an opinion, besides if you dont tell em, they wont know. Like a good barrister only include points that will help your argument.

I better not describe my feelings about my MP

I last wrote to her early last year and she passed it on to the then minister Chris Philp iirc, but he replied to her, then she to me, so with the rules regarding only contacting your own MP, I was cut out of the loop, this was just before they introduced the swop to stop thing and I took their response as quite positive, a fact I made a gentle reference to in my lastest letter, I also took the opportunity to remind her that there are over 3 million regular vapers who will all have a vote in the upcoming general election.

no you have a right to ask you have a business that employs people you also are not breaking any law in your business

you will find your mp here

https://www.writetothem.com/

she has a legal duty to reply as long as it is a normal email

if she is anti-vaping ask her the basic question teen use is an epidemic it has increased 3 fold, so that being said why do we still have the same amount of vapers in the uk, why is smoking stalling what difference will increasing the age to buy cigarettes by one year every year when in 3 years time we will still have the same amount of smokers make any difference instead of raising the age to 21 this year.

how will banning disposables help people quit when they are handed out by clinics.

why are we as a nation attending cop10 when we are just about to destroy a successful alternative to smoking.

you can put them to her better than me then tweet the response.

you pay for them to be there it's your vote that puts them there

I've found out who the local MP is here -
https://members.parliament.uk/
It gives details of email address etc.

I will be emailing them via my email so then I have a record of what I wrote to them (or email chain, if more than one email correspondence occurs).

I have e-mailed my MP must be 20 Times or more over the last few years and never once had a reply. I don't even think they look at them or they are going into their Junk Folder and being deleted. I know a few who have tried and failed so Good Luck.
