Fookin A. HATED school and I would've been all over that.It absolutely isn't.
........... the thing is, I can remember being at school ........... I have to admit I would at least have tried it to see if it worked ..................
Schools have changed so much it's crazy. I used to type out letters on my parents behalf almost every week to say I was off that day for this appointment or that appointment and couldn't play sports at all this week because of injury. Had my old man's signature down to perfection. Could do it better than he could. Never got questioned. Spent my days down the arcade instead. Nowadays it doesn't matter what the reason is and letter or not, if you ain't in school the parents get a txt message. No hiding it unless you manage to switch the contact number for your own. If I was in school today that's the first letter I'd type, "here's my new number".
Used to get endless grief from the kid's school for sending her in with a sausage roll and other bits for lunch too often (her fookin choice, she didn't want anything else). I remember my lunch consisting of a chocolate bar and a cigarette. Used to get detention, now you get a school counsellor.
