Hello

I have finally had enough of paying through the nose for juice so I've decided to have a go at this mixology lark.

I'm going to start off very slow and try and replace my all day menthol and make a basic fruit mix.

I've done a fair bit of research and I have found what seems like a good deal on a starter kit at ukflavours.com

Kit 2
500ml PG
500ml VG
250ml Nicotine VG
2x 2ml Syringes
2x 5ml Syringes
2x 10ml Syringes
2x Blunt Needles
5x 30ml Measuring Cups
10x 10ml Bottles
10x 30ml Bottles
12x Sample Flavours
Free pair of Gloves included
£39.99

My question is, does this look like a good starter kit for the money? Has anyone used this vendor before?

I'm not too bothered about the quality of the flavour concentrates because I plan on ordering some of the better known brands from leisure liquid.

Cheers

For me, whether that kit represents good value for money depends entirely on the concentrates being usable or not.
Buying elsewhere you would probably end up shelling out more cash in total but you would use everything, get more of exactly what you need, nothing of what you don't need. I've assumed the nic is 7.2%, might be 5.4% ... I've also assumed the concentrates are 10mls and usable. If they're not usable then their value to you is £0.00

Deciding to mix your own is a good decision and buying that kit wouldn't make it a bad decision. Just approx values to help you judge what you're paying for ...

£4.00 - 500ml PG
£4.00 - 500ml VG
£25.00 - 250ml Nicotine VG
£0.20 - 2x 2ml Syringes
£0.20 - 2x 5ml Syringes
£0.25 - 2x 10ml Syringes
£0.10 - 2x Blunt Needles
£1.00 - 5x 30ml Measuring Cups
£1.50 - 10x 10ml Bottles
£2.50 - 10x 30ml Bottles
£24-£36 - 12x Sample Flavours
£0.00 - Free pair of Gloves included

Like scrumpox, I'd normally advocate buying stuff separately, but this kit is good value. The nicotine is 70mg so even without the concentrates it would be OK at that price.

Go for it, don't forget to list your flavours at checkout.

If you get it, let us know how the concentrates turn out.

I think it'll be the 5ml flavours at £1.35 each.

Still not a bad value box.

Thanks for the advice

I think I'm going to go for it and hope for the best with the concentrates.

Would anyone suggest getting any distilled water?

Also can anyone recommend me a good natural tasting strawberry and a watermelon concentrate, Iv been researching all day but so much conflicting information out there.

I've never used distilled water when mixing, never seen the need.
Two strawberries which I've liked in different ways are Inawera's and Capella's Sweet Strawberry, I like to use both in the same juice. Haven't used any watermelon, sorry.

TPA Ripe Strawberry and FW Watermelon work for me. And good luck with the mixing

I have bought Nic base from them on two occasions (1ltr) each time, the Nic has been excellent in quality, and quick well packaged delivery.

I use UK Flavours a lot.

Their Nic Base is really good value and I personally find their concentrates to be pretty good. The Vanilla Custard is exactly the same as TFA Vanilla custard and is a steal at £2.69 for 30ml.

I have spoken to the owner and she told me that one of the suppliers they use is the same one that TFA use so expect quite a few UK Flavours concentrates to be the same as TFA.

Also free postage is worth a few quid every order.

+1 on the strawberry concentrates

Distilled water? nope dont think you will need it. If you feel you need to thin your VG down I would suggest a cheap bottle of vodka

Decadent Vapours is supposed to have a reasonable watermelon but I haven't tried it myself
