Unravelling the TPD, A vapers attempt to understand article 20.

Yep, got those - the answer I'm currently looking for is the clarification of the 2ml tank size, is it as the reg reads only applicable to single use tanks that come prefilled or does it include atomisers like the Subtank - Since it would appear from the definition of an E-cigarette that these would be seen as a component of an E-cigarette not as a tank in their own right...

True, come to think of it, never been any use on anything I've asked... I did warn you I was most likely chatting shit :)

The strangest thing about the tank size is it specifies volume rather than capacity. It appears to apply to any vessel that 'can' be used to consume a nicotine containing liquid. I think the single use angle is a red herring, but @blaze is the resident expert on this stuff at Vapers in Power. I do my best to stay on top of the latest developments, but I tend to deal more with the promotional aspects. In so much that any of us really has a strong role other than just pitching in as much as we can.

In part 6 Section 36 it states…

36.— (1) No person may produce or supply an electronic cigarette or a refill container which contains a
nicotine-containing liquid unless it complies with paragraphs (2) to (11).
(2) The nicotine-containing liquid must be in—
(a) a dedicated refill container not exceeding a volume of 10 millilitres;
(b) a disposable electronic cigarette; or
(c) a single use cartridge where the cartridge or tank does not exceed a volume of 2 millilitres.

This is the only bit I can see in the regs that specifies sizes or volumes for tanks...

Yep a volume of 2 millilitres just doesn't make sense, volume is cubic, millilitres are a measure of capacity, very poor quantification as I understand it.
