VapeCige VTBox200

How ya getting on with yours now Mawsley? I know you don't think the mod is the best ever but how about the DNA200 itself? Played with Escribe and profiles and stuff yet? Profiles are a handy feature I reckon. Still not played with TC much with it yet though, or got round to checking out the pack more but I can tell from looking at Escribe my cell 3 will have a higher internal resistance than the other two. It's holding its voltage well under load at 80W though, not tried any higher. Still no idea on true capacity either.

It'll never, ever be used in TC mode. Nickel tastes disgusting to me and I don't see a single benefit.

Escribe is fun, especially being able to design little boot-up screens :D

I was thinking of doing a review but it hardly seems worth it from me as I'll not be using it for any of the main features - I got it because I liked the look not the 200W.

All told, Rainbow Heaven changed their name so they could forge a reputation as purveyors of better quality kit. They failed. Vape Cige will forever be know for the catalogue of fuck-ups that accompanied the launch of the VTbox.

And this is a shame - because I really like the mod. If it'd been better made I'd have loved it.

I know the 510 will fall off and I'll need to sort out the connectors whenever I need to replace the lipo...and the Royal Hunter is pirouetting on top of a stupid gap...but it feels great in the hand and I quite like the spongy quality to the fire button.

0.4Ω, 65W and Mother's Milk tastes great.

To be fair to Vape cige, the spongy fire button is down to Evolv's use of RUBBER buttons. It may reduce strain on the boards when used by ham fisted cockmonkeys but it doesn't really make for an accurate tactile response...

A bit squishy might be OK for boobs Boobs! but not for fire buttons...

Wholeheartedly agree. Really missing the DNA200. Not missing the poor quality box it was put in. If the replacement box is riddled with issues I'll be ripping the board out and sticking it in a nice home build.

If it's crap, the spanners are coming out. Not this box, but something similar.

beeky if u dont mind what's that box?

My VT 200 is in bits now. The 510 came out easily with a few taps, hardly any glue at all. Gonna put a fdv v5 in it, but will have to be glued in as i cant see any other way, there's not enough room for a nut. Bit of a crap design really. It needs a washer underneath to bring the new 510 up to the right height and an old 510 drilled out will be just right., will glue in with jb weld or chemical metal. And get a decent battery.

If taking the box apart, to get the front off, apart from the 4 screws on the front, there is one hiding behind the fire button. You need to unscrew the ring around the fire switch, to get to it. I didnt do this cos i didnt know and the thread got a bit damaged, it doesnt matter i'll use a bit of loctite on it.

On the subject of batteries the biggest i can find that will fit is a 1300mah turnigy a-spec 60c from hobby king, this makes me think that the supplied lion power must be well overrated. Will order the 510 first and if it all goes to plan will post the results:)
