Vendors...how 'clean' is your prep area?

I'm impressed with what I am seeing in most. After a few years the road I had to get one of those real jobs, anyway I ended up working for a consultancy and spent a few years in pharmaceutical manufacturer (big name). They made heavy meds for the Japanese market. So the Q.C. was of the highest order, Real clean room environment on a massive scale ( for those that don't know , a Japanese customer or doctor finding a hair on something is worse than finding a turd). And what I am seeing from manabush ect,is not much different.
Well done guys.

The vendors who have contributed to this thread deserve massive kudos for doing so....

I know that @PlumeBlu has an awesome set up as well...and Im sure he has some pictures up on facecunt.....

Excellent thread going on here, I for one have recieved juices in the past that have made me wonder about the conditions they were produced in, and very much agree with earlier posts regarding the TPD placing focus on irrelevant areas and completely missing the boat on hygiene.

Cotswold Vapour is in the same boat as many of the smaller producers that have posted on here. We don't have an ISO facility. This is not because we don't want one, it's because we don't have the resources yet. Any juice manufacturer that takes hygiene seriously should aspire to achieve ISO status as early as they are able to, and we are no exception. Having only been trading for a matter of months, we employ the highest safety and hygiene standards we can physically abide by. We have a dedicated room for all production that is kept dehumidified at all times, and has been completely stripped of all fabrics and textiles that would collect dust. Mixing is of course carried out on disinfected stainless worktops using sterilised glassware. Masks, gloves and hairnets at all times. All what I would consider to be the bare minimum when I'm a paying customer.

We're currently saving for a robust extractor cabinet, as our demand is outgrowing our current extraction setup.

Our production room is a few miles away from my home address (I'm mainly the PR/social media/marketing/design guy), but I'll follow up a photo when I get the chance :)

This post has been very uplifting in what has been a pretty dark few weeks for us vendors. Many thanks @MrTeaTime (and thanks @mannikon for the heads up!)

You're probably right......

Vendors posting on here have done themselves loads of food by actually taking the time to actually comment or post a pic....

No one is expecting a relatively new start up to have a set up like HOL or a Manabush....but to see vendors like @Dripworx @South Coast Vaper @Cotswold Vapour and @dragons rise contribute and either post a pic or comment about there set up is really positive

last time i spoke to Jordan on faceache he did say they actually had 3 clean rooms here and in france and have a shop opening this month so a much bigger setup than i first thought.

i have to admit though that i take my hat off to you for starting a thread on this subject as its just what the community needed.

Dragons Rise posted a pic 2 pages back (last night) with the promise of more when he'd been back to his facility. There's a few who haven't posted but seems DR is something of a target. We all know of the issues early doors (blame MrDJ for sparking a mini riot in his praise for Campfire custard :18:) but at least he's been honest about them & took to rectifying said issues asap.
