VT inbox

Just had one arrive from FT lovely little unit (stainless with the carbon panels). On my iPad the search doesn't work so I've just leafed through endless pages in the squonk section but didn't see any threads titled VTinbox so I'll ask away here -

Obviously it's a single cell regulated mod so I assume I shouldn't muck about trying to rely on it as an all day device for DTL on .2 ohm coils as it'll blat the batt too quick?

I've been trying I talk myself into a MTL set up for a while so I'm somewhat reluctantly going to try it. Buying it seemed like a great idea with a belly full of free Jack Daniels on holiday 3 weeks back. I've got a handful of BF atties suitable for MTL I've never even tried.

Any thoughts or experiences with the VTinbox and the atty that it comes with, most appreciated.

The VT Inbox is a good squonker but I would throw the RDA that comes with it out the window as it's not as good as others.
I have a Wasp Nano on top of mine, since it's a single coil RDA I can get about a days worth out the battery on a 0.8 coil at 20W.

Narda clone on top of mine, it's set up for restricted DTL, single coil at 0.9 ohm. I go through about two batteries, sometimes two and a bit in a 24 hour period.

As above. You don't have to go full mtl. Most enjoy.the squonk somewhere in the middle ground. Single coil 0.5-0.9 ohm. Hadaly, o atty, soul s all fit the bill. I do enjoy a mtl with the strike rda at 1.2 ohms and that can last well into two day's. I've found the faux leather panels that ft do for a couple of quid also offer a better grip and less creaky feel.

Also I wouldn't throw the maze rda that comes with it away. It's actually a cracker if teamed up with the dripbox 160.

Surely if it's good on the dripbox it could be good on the vt no?

The point is it likes some wattage to perform at it's best. The inbox is more than capable but as your concerns suggest it will go through the batteries. Plus it being a 22mm stainless Kennedy style rda it looks sweet and performs to match on the dripbox 160.
So yep just as good if actually technically better on the DNA powered inbox but fits better with the dripbox for all day use.

Very impressed with this device. Have been very disappointed with mech squonkers in general. This unit is well worth the agg of carrying spare cells I have to say [emoji3]
