What's new

What will Tier 5 look like?

Oxford vaccine has now been approved. Roll out should be much quicker and easier. Great news.

Snag is one of the main obstacles to speeding things up is a lack of trained staff to do the vaccinations.

I do know one thing more and more people are getting ill it’s just a matter of time before I get covid every other day I get test results back every other day negative one day it will say positive that’s the day you wake up in the middle of the night sweating about

Have you had any vaccine yet Stu?

naaaa I’m cannon fodder I would say March time all our registrations have gone In so waiting to hear

I will have it though I’m looking at jumping ship and moving job if someone offered me a job cleaning the loos in a strip joint I would take it I’m pretty fed up with none masks wearing morons, the jabs got a chip init, the figures are wrong only the old get ill and the new one I know someone who’s had the jab oh please just die quietly

so no not yet soon ish possibly....

And mine, and although not a staunch lockdown supporter, the fact that people can’t get it through their craniums that if they keep on paying restrictions no heed it’ll go on for longer is doing mine in.

London for instance. I’m dealing with customers in tier 4 areas and they absolutely do not give a fuck. And I’m sitting at home like a good boy so they can run about not giving said fuck.

What if all of this is inevitable?

I've seen it over and over again on the internet people attacking those who don't follow the rules, it's always their fault and not their own. So what if this is unavoidable?

The majority of people follow the rules to the best of their ability no matter how much they keep changing. Everyone I know who has has the virus at some point followed rules and were careful.

Perhaps attacking each other is not the way to be after 9 months of this? Perhaps the virus will spread no matter what between people no matter the precautions we take short of everyone not leaving their homes until it's all over.

We had a lockdown and numbers went up after it. We had a second lockdown and numbers then went up. Perhaps no matter what there will be cases, there will always be cases and there is nothing we can do to prevent it until the vaccination. We can keep all these measures by all means but understand it isn't preventing anything.

Thats not aimed at you mate, just a general speaking out loud.

Honestly mate, I can’t be fucked with thinking about, talking about or arguing about it. As I said earlier, I’ll do what’s good for me and mine and every fucker else can please themselves.

And that’s just a thing.

Just line the patients up
Someone to check folks in
A Nurse/Doctor doing the injections
An assistant to keep the supplies going to the Nurse/Doctor
A couple of folks at a desk doing the paperwork
Could easily rattle of a few thousand per day.
Do this at a couple of thousand places round the UK
Wouldn't take long to do the full UK.
Wont happen though.

Divide and conquer
Let one half blame the other, the oldest trick in the book
When really it's the governments all around the world at fault
for not acting quick and safe enough.

Oh that it was that easy.

Firstly after a jab the nurse has to stay with the subject for 15 mins before releasing them.
Secondly you would have to have thousands of extra nurses to overcome the first problem.
Thirdly, even after you have overcome those problems you would need vast supplies of the vaccine, which we currently do not have.

About 1, or 2 weeks after the first vaccination last month I did a rough calculation in my head, and came to the conclusion that it would take somewhere in the region of 3 to 4 years to vaccinate the entire UK population.

In other words we're fucked
In 3 or 4 years the virus will have mutated umpteen times
Will the vaccine still work ?

Probably not.

Remember that other thing back in 1347, I think it was called the bubonic plague, otherwise known as the black death.

There are still 1K to 3K cases per year even now around the world.
