Tier 5, if there ever is one in England will just be as much of a bag of shit as tier 4 has been as far as I am concerned.
10 days or so before Christmas Central Beds was tier 2, on that Thursday it was announced that from midnight on the Friday we were going to be in tier 3, around lunchtime on Friday it was announced we were being moved to tier 4 !
Fucking great in less than 24 hours my Christmas had been screwed up beyond belief as the shops would have to close, so no presents for my wife, or daughter. Did our infection rate double in less than 25 hours ? not from the figures I have seen.
Next thing you know a few days later bordering Cambridgeshire was told they were going into tier 4, but not until midnight on Boxing Day.
So for the days over Christmas most of our relations could mix one household at a time, whilst we could not meet up with any of them, yet we are only 4 miles from the border, and they are only 4 miles on the other side.
Where is the sense in that !
If it was due to the new mutation of the virus making it more infectious I had heard of that in he news, and commented in another thread months ago, and valance in his last appearance on tv said he had been aware of it in late September, if so the whole of the UK should have at once gone into the same lockdown as we had in March. Not fucked about with shuffling tier levels for several months.
As some of you know I have always backed Boris & the Conservatives over Covid, and Brexit, and have stuck to the rules, but now I don't give a fuck. I will now do what I want.
