Hello again, I am currently using the eGo batteries and started off with a disposable CE2 cleromizer. It was ok for a while then started burning.

Moved onto the CE4 with replaceable atomizer and this worked well too for a while until it also started burning. Worked out that you have to tip it all the time to soak the wicks. Also the stated 1.6ml must have been wrong as I was constantly filling it. It had less room inside than the CE2 but the same measuring increments. Leaked too unless you had no juice on the seals when you screwed it together.

Currently using the Kanger T3 which is ok but I do get the odd burnt taste and leakage from the bottom. Took it apart, cleaned it and dry burnt it. Seems ok but still leaking a bit onto the battery this morning.

I don't know what to go for, I like the Kanger capacity and it is pretty decent but has it's flaws. I do like the idea of bottom coil though. Are DCT's ok? They look a bit of a pain to fill with the wadding but you'd only have to do it once a day. Do Vivi Novas have the same issues as others?

Cheers for any advice

You do need to make sure to keep the wicks and coil wet on a vivi nova but in my opinion they can't be beat. DCT's also are extremely good for taste and vapour. Once a dCT tank is filled you don't need to worry about it as it is constantly kept wet by the juice in the tank. Either a nova or a DCT in my opinion is a nice upgrade . Try both if you can afford to & see which you prefer. Both are cheap to maintain as nova heads are about £2 and DCT replacement cartos about £1.50

not tried a dct but novas all the way for me :)

have a few so can have diff flavours on the go...oh..and just about to try recoiling for the first ime in a mo ;)

Cheers for the replies. I think I will try the DCT first just for a change from wicks and see what it's like. They are on offer too from here which is just round the corner from me so don't have to pay postage either.

One other question, I have only ever had PG liquid, I may try a VG or mix it with some PG but is VG ok in a cartomizer type as I've heard it is thicker?

I really like DCTs. Once you get the knack, it's an absolute doddle to fill. Just watch the Youtube vids.

I use 80/20 and 70/30 PG/VG and in the past I've used 50/50 without problems.

I find that if you want a good vape all the time then just replace the carto at least once a week.

Once a week, really? That's getting on the expensive side.

Well, I'm talking about having only one tank, so the carto is in continual use. If you have several tanks on the go, the carto (seems) to last much longer, but of course, it doesn't :)

All atomisers get bunged up with burnt liquid with use.

If £1.50 a week is more than you'd like to spend then you could always get some wire and wick and rebuild your Kanger T3 yourself, for pennies. I learnt to do this recently from watching Todd's video on youtube.

Of course it's not just T3s you can do this with, it's just the only one I've done personally. In fact top coils are probably easier.

You cannot rebuild a DCT carto (I think)

Damn, now I'm stuck. That eVod looks great and looks a lot easier to rebuild than the t3. Maybe I'll get both and see how I get on.
