What's new

Who's With Me, ( My Journal of my Vaping )

Either to not cough as much and vape for the foreseeable future.

I will be telling mother to restrain my initial thoughts about smoking 🚭 🚭 🚭 🚭 🚭.

All i have been doing for the past 2:30 hours is cough. Due to me Vaping.

I am not blaming it, but lack of resolve since smoking all those days, leading up to the New year.

The coughing is most likely down to your smoking. Your lungs will try to clear out all the crap from smoking. I was coughing for several weeks after I quit smoking.

ive said it before and will say it again just like Richard mentioned, the coughing is your body detoxing all the shite from the tar from cigs in your lungs.
as soon as you break the detox and have a cig or 20 like youve done a few times then it puts you back to the start.
i bet as soon as you have your next cig the coughing will stop. but then you have to start the whole process again.
youve had god knows how many years of tar in your lungs that it will take a week or two to clear so expect the coughing to continue for a while.
after 37 years of smokes my next chest xray 3 months later showed i would be classed as a never smoker as it was totally clear compared to previous.

I'm probably never going to live long enough to follow or even backtrack on your long , long journey. Apparently it's longer than a coronation street re run.

For years I chain smoked, 40 plus a day for over 40 years.

Off and on vaper for the last 5 plus years, so basically I was still a smoker.
Best spell so far, 13 months without a cigarette. Relapse, back to the vicious circle, but you know all that anyway.

Look at your vaping style, trust and listen to experienced guys. Experiment, plan ahead, don't count the minutes.

Find a diversion every time smoking enters the thought process, walk, cycle, Tommy tank etc.
Something will work, go find that something. For me it was discovering a vaping style that filled the void, a imaginary void I hasten to add.

Good luck.

Leon is fully aware of why we all coughed when we packed up, it's just his excuse for going back to the smokes & for ever going round in circles

As I've said before, if he's getting on people's nerves then just unfollow the thread or put him on ignore. Nothing at all wrong with a bit of humour and gentle ribbing but the lad clearly has some serious mental health issues and I would ask members to keep that in mind please when responding to him regardless of how frustrated you get with him. He used to create multiple simultaneous threads but has now been limited to this single thread to post in about his attempts to quit smoking. He is free to post in here in whichever way he chooses. His thread and his journey - however long and repetitive - is not compulsory viewing.

I still socially smoke, despite trying to pack that shit in, for the last two years. I've been trying to quit alcohol since year dot. Epic fail, but i like drinking, i dont really like smoking, but man, a fag with a pint, it always went together. I'm looney tunes enough to at least understand where Leon's at, although i confess that some of his posts cause me to want to pull my hair out, except I dont actually have any :11: :18:

It has been 1 day and 18 hours since I quit again.

Not gonna lie, but with two permanently smoking around me for the new year, I have to keep away from my mother and niece.

Granted, she only came before Christmas and will soon go home tomorrow or Saturday.
