Who's With Me, ( My Journal of my Vaping )

I have nearly done a day since 17:00 yesterday. But 4 PM without DST.

I Lasted 6 hours 40 minutes and a day before I took up smoking again.

On an endnote, I started to vape again last night at 1 AM (12 AM without DST).

Woke up this morning, and early for me at 9:25 AM, Usually 15:00 or later. Only to have a vaping cough.

During the transition form smoking to vaping you will experience coughing. It generally is caused by the tar in your lungs from smoking loosening and coughing it out. If you have ever experienced smoker's cough, as most smokers have it won't stop after a single day of vaping - it will continue until the lining of tar on your lungs is gone - in my case I already had a morning 'smoker's cough' and it took around a month to clear up completely, obviously I coughed more in the first week or two but it was caused more by the crap coming out of my lungs than the stuff going in.

Don't let the initial coughing deter you, as it is normal.

Good to hear you managed to go for a day without smoking. Try to keep at it, if you find you crack and have another cig, don't beat yourself up over it.

I made no attempt to give up smoking when I first took up vaping - I just tried to reduce the amount I smoked, by having a cig after a meal or with a cup of tea/coffee, which were the only times I actually enjoyed smoking and vaping inbetween these times which cut my smoking down from 20 to 7 or 8 with little struggling or cravings - and it became easier after the first week or so. After a month I realised that I was reaching for my vape instinctively and not even thinking about a cig - at this point I gave up smoking and it was easy. This may work for you - and even if you don't manage to quit smoking entirely it could help to reduce your smoking habit. But good luck with your efforts.

It's been 5 hours and 20 minutes since I got up, and I'm still vaping.

I do have 14 cigs left in the packet untouched.

I think this time, it will stick.

I go to the hospital on Wednesday to do breathing exercises, which I need to do.

This is because my cough exacerbates my going out of it when coughing.

Then, a week later, I will be watching the budget to see how much we will be stung by it.
