Hi all, excuse me of this question has been asked a thousand times, but I have been finding that the taste of several of my juices has suddenly started getting “warm” when vaped, they are all ice flavours, and one I even added my own ws-23 to.
I’m using a QP fatality, and although I’m quite new to the rebuilding world, have followed the YouTube videos for coil and wicking, the coils are aliens at 0.18 ohms, and I’m using them on an SX mini G-Class in wattage mode at 75w, does the positioning of the coils affect the temperature of the vape? Or is it something to do with the cotton? When I try the juice in my Dreadnaught tank with stock coils it’s fine, which leads me to believe I’m doing some wrong somewhere along the lines? Thank in advance.

I'd expect a pair of 0.18 aliens at 75w to be warm.

Do you run a similar build in the dreadnought at 75w too?

I use a horizon m1 coil, and vape at 70-75, that shows at 0.15 ohms and I can taste the coolant on exhale.

The cooling stuff doesn’t actually change the temperature of the vapour. It just tricks your tastebuds. So at 75w like @Simon G says above of course it will be hot, because the vapour actually is hot.

Thanks, I will have a little play around with the QP as I understand that it’s doesn't alter the temp, but can’t quite figure out why I get the icy kick on a sub ohm but not the RTA

I don't use cooling agents or menthol so I'm guessing here but maybe the difference is because ones a stock coil. The cotton in stock coils are generally more tightly packed than rta's so perhaps that changes the effect of the ice juices ....... maybe !
