Is that a dig at Market Traders @silentoz?

Sent From Within A Plume Of Vapour...

not at all its a dig at the market traders that buy in un tested and potentially lethal stuff and sell it on with the blind bit of care for any ones safety let alone the effect it has one the industry wen they go wrong

not just them infact ive seen a few in some pubs iv been to the quality of the chargers is horrendous a few ive even told them that they are potentially selling a lethal device that could fatally harm some one and pointed them to other company that sell good quality uk / eu tested chargers and gear but most dont want to no because they cost more sad really all that risk just to save a few £

Circuit protection.
That's seems to be the biggest factor in these cases.
Most e-cigs don't have this built in, as far as I know. It's in the adapters / charging cables that come with them. Or are designed to work with them. that have the circuit.

Iphones etc, as far as I know, do have this protection circuit built in. So it's not needed in the charger. (although some may have it).

As is blatantly obvious, not everyone is savvy on this. They see a usb plug, and shove it into a usb charger.

But having said that, some of the usb adapters, sold with some e-cigs and as separates. Don't have protection either. I'm not sure where, but I saw someone did take an e-cig adapter apart, and there was no circuit.
It appears that if an adapter, HAS NOT got the input/output info printed on it, there's no circuit at all. But even then, there may not be overcharge protection in it.
But if your using the correct charger/adapter, the chances of it venting, are about, the same as your phone or laptop.

Just to add to this thread. I started off Vaping with a cig a like kit. I did have a wall charger included in with it. My first ego kit was a Tornado and no wall charger was supplied at all with it from Totally Wicked.

I still use the same charger that I got with the cig a like kit. I presume it's safe -

Output 5V 500mA

CE RoHS

Standard USB wall chargers produce 5V. Apart from voltage, there's no further regulation. It's up to the phone, ecig or any other device you plug into it to autoregulate itself. The exception to this universal rule are Apple chargers, which produce a higher output then 5V, though I don't know how much yet. My OH's iPad will not charge off a regular USB wall charger, only Apple's. Therefore I concluded that the output from these is higher than regular USB chargers. Has anyone tried charging an iPad off a computer's USB ports? Cheap ecigs and apple chargers apparently do not mix.

Here have a look at this. I bought one if these as soon as I bought my first kit. It's a great plugh with two USB ports on top and a main plug at the front. I charge my MVP off it no problems.

Masterplug USB Charger with Surge Protection - Chargers - Accessories

I have one of these two but make sure you are using an eGo style USB lead with it. DO not use any type of direct USB like a skycig.

USB is standard 5V in any case even Apple the difference is amperage.

This Masterplug is 5V out but one side will be 5V @ 1A and other side will be 5V @ 2A.

I just use it for my MVP and when I need to I use it for my ego that I got from UKecigstore which they recommend so I'd say i'm very safe.
