As the title says, both mine and my partners CE5-S clearomizers spit hot juice out of the drip tip. Is this normal?

We have tried replacing the coils, but it still happens. Happens with different brands of juice as well.

I think it has caused pain at the back of my throat...

aspiretina No reply?

All I want to know is if this is normal or not. Looks like I might need to switch brands when I buy my next upgrade...

At a guess, I would suspect you are drawing quite hard on this device and due to its relatively limited airflow semi flooding it with excess juice hence causing the spitting.

Nah, it happens no matter how hard I draw. I think its just the design of the heads to be honest. I have noticed the nautilus heads have a mesh screen to prevent this but the ones for CE5-s do not.

do you get the worst of the spitting when you first hit the button?

ned Its kind of constant really, can do it at first or halfway through a draw.

ok. i only asked because i remember having some kanger heads/coils that used to kive one big hot spit when first fired.

what batteries are you both using?

Happens on KiK Vape 01 650 mah, Vape 02 900 mah and a VóR unknown mah battery my friend sent me.

All 3.7v eGo type batteries, we are using the 1.8ohm coils. Tried the BDC and BVC (both old and new versions). Happens with all. Have seen threads where other people mention this aswell using the same cleaomizers on other forums. I'm getting a Vape 03 VV battery in the post soon so will see if that is any different.

EDIT:

On the plus side, my sore throat has subsided now. Maybe it was just a side effect of giving up the cigs.

so all set voltage batteries. i thought that might be the case.

i noticed that as soon as i got my first vv battery and cranked the power up a bit the spitting stopped on the kanger coils. not saying it will work for you but as soon as your vv arrives i guess you will find out eh.

good news on the sore throat, could be from the cigs or just from vaping a bit to much before you have gotten used to it.

Just found out something interesting...

I burned the hell out of the wicks in one of my BDC coils so decided to try and rewick it. I used cotton instead of silica.

Now it does not spit, and tastes damn good too!
