Bit confused can some one help

Hi all been useing a tohb dripper now for over a month but use loads of juice so decided to set up a protank for daily use hears where confusion sets in I twisted 2 strands of 32 g kanthal and did a 5 wrap coil on a 2 mm drill bit it came in at 1.4 ohms I then did a nano micro coil on a 1 mm paper clip 7 wraps and expected it to be lower ohms but it came out at 1.5 ohms I was looking for 1 ohm when I make coils for my dripper I can build a coil and roughly know the ohms before I test it but since trying to build for my pro tank I'm having no luck and ohms keep coming back high can some one please advise me I have 26g which I think is to thick to go in a pro tank and 32g and 0.3 ribbon which I think is the equivalent to 32g thanks in advance for any help

I suppose that 'leg length' could make a difference with your protank builds. You could try a wrap or two less. Resistance is determined by the length of wire used (including 'legs"). It's easier to get to know your resistance via number of wraps, of course, rather than tediously measuring wire, but learning a few "ohms per inch per gauge" can help a bit with the guesstimating.

You could try 4 wraps with the 32, but the best thing you could do is get some 28/30.

I've made Protank coils with 26g before, but they need to be much thicker, 2.0+ or they're too long to fit. 8 wraps round 2.0 will take you under 1 ohm.

I found that 26g would rip the rubber insulators tho and used up the last of my 28g doing a twisted kanthal build on my dripper which I only used for a few days as well do you use any special methods for useing 26

Nothing special, just don't wick it before installing so you can dry burn and squeeze the coils up nice and tight.
