since we live in a representative democracy then unfortunately we do. that’s how it works, we vote for the govt. and then they tell us what to do.

I disagree. I obey most laws as best I can but you don't have to obey suggestions.
Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.
Maybe your viewpoint is good in a way. This country does need a cull. Let all the idiots go out and party and die, we don't need people like that breeding.

yes, but specific to this situation, the government relaxing laws is effectively telling people, it is okay to do this.

i’ve noticed the at the times you start talking about “peak zou” seem to coincide with the phenomenon i refer to as “peak zed”.

People just shouldn't trust governments. They're lying, cheating, scheming institutions. Open your eyes and you can see what is going on out there.
No one is coming round our house and I won't be socialising any differently than I have for the past 10 months or so.

aye, i agree and i think this is a symptom of living in a country where politics is particularly
corrupt and rotten to the core.
