Wrap the coil with gaps between each wrap. Then push it right and it should spring back out, evenly spaced.
Yes, a video would be great because I haven't got a clue what you lovely lot are explaining.. the thing I use to wrap is just the sooth thingy.. no spaces on it.. so coil is always wound tightly around that.I've not got the mtl version only the dl but I like to wrap my coils very spaced , much wider than you would have thought ,then when mounting the coil I secure both legs then let the tightening of the posts pull the coil apart . I then put the coil rod through and twist it to the correct position and it all comes into place . Nice spaced coils. Dam I need a video to show you how. I might do one later.
It doesn't make a lot of difference.
You get hotspots when they are tightly wrapped and you have to stroke them to get the hotspots out... you shouldn't get hotspots with a spaced coil.
