What's new

complete noob is an understatement, am I on the right track?

Hi @FilterLess my opinion is if you want the 134 then youtube it and watch some vid's see if you like if you do get the 134. personally I would love to get one but would never take it out with me I would get fed up with people pointing and saying WTF is that he thinks he is the terminator comments but i would be happy to sit at home and be smug with a 134. as for juice if you can find a real shop and see if you can try before you buy sort of thing. finding something you like that is not tobacco (coffee, red bull, apple pie) is quite satisfying you will grin from ear to ear. I have only vaped one tobacco flavoured juice since I quite the fags in September and it was more vanilla then tobacco and that was becuase i was scared I would like the tobacco and want to go back to the real deal. but if you think other flavour juice don't work have a smoke and the next day get your self some tobacco flavour or get one of each and see what you like.

also don't kick your self if you have a smoke because if you have gone from say 20 to 10 in a day that's an achievement in it self nout wrong with the duel fuel until you find your sweet sport or comfort zone.

I hope that helps

actually just to update SVD is the way to go cause you can check your coil resistance on that and not the 134 I think the svd has more options for you to play with and understand.

god that sounds stupid but it makes sense in my head I just cant elaborate on it at the moment.

Do I know where you are coming from there LOL. I am turning toward that opinion myself, after the video posted by u8myufo I can see a little more clearly that it may not be for me. I know I have a looong way to go understanding this vaping thing but gotta start somewhere.

A good place to snag juices from is Mt Baker Vapor, USA based company, sells a HUGE range of juices at a damn good price. I used them for juices for a very long time when I started, as even shipping it to the UK it worked out cheaper unless customs stung me haha.

ok i am vaping the 134 as i type i posted pick #4526 the other day and i am loving it got a nice peach in at the moment with a davide glassomizer. :grin2: you should try it!

I suggest the svd as like others have said you can check the resistance of your coil - sorry if I sound condescending but I'm gonna explain really basically on your mod u have the tube where the battery goes 18650 larger or 18350 smaller then you have your tank be it a protank or iclear 30 then you can set how many volts/watts your device will send through the coil which has the wick through it more volts/watts means more vapour but go too high and you'll get a nasty burnt smell now for the kanger protank the coils come in a variety of different resistances usually 1.8ohm or 2.2ohm or 2.5ohm what u want to do is start on the lowest setting possible and just keep clicking it up till you hit your sweet spot - I suggest buying an svd kit from myepack and get a couple of 18650 batteries and a nitecore charger from there too - if you dont want to mess about with batteries you could consider the mvp2 which I have it has all the same settings as the svd and the kit comes with an iclear30 tank rotatable drip tip and beauty ring plus charger the battery in this is inside and it can be used while charging added bonus you can use it to charge portable devices such as your phone or iPad kindle etc anyway onto juice - it's a tough one as everybody is different - there is a company called smoke rainbow who sell 1ml samples for 60p each so u could try different ones and not spend too much also myepack who have the svd's do dekang juices at a really good price - good luck in your journey you'll get there we were all beginners once just wait till u start discovering rba's and drippers and kanthal and mesh and all the other shiny delights which come with vaping.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am looking into a few US based places now hoping to find one with an assortment pack for noobies that have no idea what they like yet LOL. Seems there are many that I find that have some very negative reviews, anyone have suggestions as to a juice manufacturer?

I want to thank everyone for their assistance so far and only hope I do not make a nuisance of myself as I try to figure this vaping thing out :)

Thus far we have narrowed down the mod (what I call the power supply) to the Innokin SVD with the 18600 battery. I have admit I am not a huge fan of the looks of it but the reviews are up there. If you have a suggestion of another please ring in.

Now, I am torn between 3 clearomisers, maybe you can help here too. I like that they are bottom coil, seems reviewers are more prone to accepting them as well. I love that all have glass tubes and use the same coil so I do not need to keep a supply of different coils handy. So I am thinking maybe I should get 2 so I have different flavors to try until I choose what I like. The options are...

DBox PuriTank
Kanger ProTank II
AnyVape Davide Glassomizer

All 3 seem to have similar reviews, so what do I do? How many just flip a coin? :banghead:

While you ponder over this I will go check out some juice, thanks Chegs I have a feeling this will more difficult than what I have done so far.

Thank you again for all your help
Rick

Oh, I find myself watching many of the reviews by PBusardo on youtube as well as sooo many forum postings. Are his reviews reliable?
