Proper noob question from a proper diy noob.

Thinking of getting some dinner lady concentrates from vapeclub.

It says "This concentrate is suspended in a PG solution" but it doesn't say how much of the 30ml bottle is PG. Obviously the flavouring isn't PG so it would be nice to know how much of the 30ml bottle is flavouring and how much is PG. I've looked everywhere, even on the dinner lady website and nothing. It says the concentrate should be mixed at 20-25% so I guess if you mix it at 25% the flavour of the end mix should be stronger?

I'll be putting in an order with flavour boss soon and would just like to know how much extra PG and VG I will need to order to make up the dinner lady concentrate at 70/30. Would appreciate any guidance on this if someone can help, please?

I'm no expert on mixing but I'm pretty sure most concentrates are pg based. A quick calculation would mean that mixing at 20% would make up 150ml in total. You factor in the 30ml concentrate as part of the 30% of the 150ml mix, I think 45ml in total for pg (inc concentrate). The remaining 15ml pg would be made up of either pure pg or pg nic if that's what you use.

Hope that's not too complicated? My head hurts now [emoji57]

i really appreciate the reply, thanks!

So if I'm understanding you correctly, 45ml of flavouring and PG, and then the rest VG? I'm planning on using 100% VG nicshots at 18mg to keep it simple (hopefully).

Sorry for making your head hurt lol

That's correct, if my grey cell is working right. What strength nic will you be making?

Not sure actually. I usuallly vape at 3mg but I work from home and pretty much chain vape all day and night, so thinking of cutting down to 1.5mg nic. That parts easy enough anyway isn't it. My vast experience wasting money on 50ml shortfills tells me that 10ml at 18mg makes 50ml of juice 3mg, so I'll just half that to make 1.5mg.

So 150ml of juice, 18mg nicshots (hamsters running) 15ml of 18mg nic should make the 150ml 1.5mg nic...

And the nicshots will be 100% VG as well, so I'll just count that as part of the VG in the mix., that makes sense, right?

Now my head hurts... lol

Just a slight correction, at least with the short fills I've used. The bottle contains 50ml of juice, to which you add 10ml of 18mg nic to make 60ml of 3mg juice in total. Sorry if this complicates it further for you.

I'm a little tardy with my nic content, as I still have a stock of 72mg nic. I generally mix around 3 or 4mg (ish) with my juices. I tried 1.5 once, I was nearly drinking the stuff [emoji57]

lol It does complicate things further, but not your fault. All part of the learning process I guess.

You're absolutely right though. 50ml of juice in a 60ml shortfill bottle, then you add the 18mg nicshot to make 60 ml of juice at 3mg.

I just tried using a elqiuid calculator and it's telling me to add 25ml of 18mg nic to make 150ml of juice at 3mg.

But thats when I count the flavour concentrate as PG as we discussed.

Edited to add - just realised I added the concentrate as 30 when it should have been 25. Maybe I shouldn't be doing this at 4am! lol

25ml sounds about right, but I'd probably just bang in a straight 3 bottles. Like I said, I'm tardy [emoji3]

lol Yeah, i'm not overly fussy if the nic is a little under or over tbh as long as it has some nic in it and not so much that its too harsh to vape.

All of the bottle is PG. very few FLAVOUR concentrates are VG.. I usually mix my concentrates at 10% to start with and see if the flavour is strong enough.
