Has anyone got a comparison they could share about the above tanks?
I own the skyline clone, how does the clone of the kayfun v5 compare to an original V5?
TIA!

The SXK clones are excellent and virtually 1-1. Personally I'd recommend the SXK Kayfun V5 mini, something Svoemesto never produced but SXK did and it holds 3ml instead of 5ml (wish they had left the logos off it though :( ) Can be had on FT for under £15 and the flavour is exceptional from them - my Wife runs two of them and loves them both, it has replaced her previous flavour tank the Ubertoot UTA2 clone that she had as it's easier to wick and fill. https://www.fasttech.com/products/5374600

I use both (skyline and k5 clone) and they rotate with a few other tanks. I think I prefer the skyline but it depends what day you ask me, to be fair. My k5 clones are an sxk mini and a no name 304L one, which is great and better than the sxk.

The skyline def has less issues (occasionally the k5's can leak a wee bit or cause dry hits if I don't pay enough attention when I wick them). I also prefer the deck on the skyline and the way the liquid control works seems smarter to me (sometimes the k5 clones can get stuck, end up screwed together too tight etc)

I find that the sxk mini, while the flavour is excellent, can cause me problems with the liquid control. I have to screw it very tight to close it, which can either mean it accidentally getting stuck on a mod, or not being right closed when I fill it which results in flooding. ( @stevoknevo , mine doesn't have logos. Bought it on fasttech about 6 months or so ago).

The last thing, the skyline has a much wider range of airflow. It can go much tighter and much looser than the k5. I tighten the draw on my k5s by covering all but one of he inner airflow holes with aluminum tape. Works pretty well.

Both are really good though.

Geekay vapes and djlsb vapes both do a side by side comparison of k5 clone and original. I have both, and for me the sxk Kayfun v5 mini is still my favourite rta.

@mojo1 how is the juice control on your mini? Mine needs to be screwed super tight to fully close. It's a bit of a pain in the arse, and I'm wondering if I've just got a bad one?

I really like it apart from that.

I've had the tank get stuck on mods and cracked the glass trying to get it apart because of how tight I need to turn the thing before I fill it. Wonder if I should try another one? Tried switching o rings, didn't help.

I sometimes have to hold tank at bottom to open jfc, but I don't overtighten when closing. But then I have zero leaking from k5, not even a little seepage. It once flooded about a year ago just after rewick but I think I may have overfilled it.where as skyline has leaked a couple of times, nothing major. I find with skyline I have to gradually open jfc to prevent this. On the k5 I turn upside down when opening jfc. Just a habit I got into but like I said zero leak's.

I'll try tightening less and inverting it. They did a good job with it but I wondered if it was flawed because they've actually scaled everything down vertically, rather than just lopped it at the top. Even the base is scaled down. I've wondered if this had caused the jfc just not to be able to close tight without excessive screwing.

My big k5 is great, when it has leaked it's just a little out the airflow and I reckon it's just down to wicking. I think it's just a little liquid getting in the airflow hole. The few times I've flooded it it just needs a few puffs with the juice closed and this sorts it easily.

I do find with both tanks it's a good idea to shut the jfc if I'm not using it for a few days.

@moff000 if you like the skyline i'd also recommend the sxk doggystyled. It's a great tank, tiny profile, super simple and works flawlessly for me. I actually find the flavour superior to all the other tanks I use and I've never had a leak, flooding or a dry hot apart from once when I didn't realise I'd puffed it dry! You can pick it up really cheap as well.
