Evening apes

I've tried a few RDAs and have seemed to settle on the humble derri slapped on a mech.

My go to build is a dual coil 7 or 8 wraps of 0.4 mm kanthal. I've done twisted builds in other atties and have tried claptons but don't "get" them.

The question is "has anyone got a go to build for flavour for the derri?" I'm not fussed about clouds, just big on the old tasty tasty.

Ta in advance and all that.

I've been prefering single coils in my Derringers ... either twisted or straight kanthal ... and reducing the airflow to two holes. Position the coil as far away from the posts as you can, high enough so you can see the bottom of the coil through the airslot.

For flavour, either
1 x 3mm coil, 8 wraps of .4 giving 1.1ohms
1 x 2.4mm coil, 10 wraps of .3 twisted giving 1.1ohms

For clouds
2 x 3mm coils, 9 wraps of .4 giving 0.6ohms

Slapped one of cloudcuckoo 's claptons in, that made a difference. More depth to the flavour, very nice, I definitely get it, was previously sceptical.

Has to be a Fused Clapton, or a Fused Ribbon Clapton, without a doubt the best coils for flavor IMO.

Twisted 28 or 32 gets bags of flavour for me particularly on sweeter vapes

single coil is better than dual strangely at around 0.6 ohms
