DaveX, PBusardo agrees with you - He thinks Nickel is a PITA, I had a few difficulties at first but now I use twisted 0.25mm Pure NIckel in a ten wrap microcoil. I wrap it as tight as possible on the jig then make sure the coils are pressed close together while on the jig, Fit it under all 4 screws on the KF4, then pulse gently, using very pointy tweezers carefully "Strum" the coil in the area of any hotspots to seperate the wraps ever so slightly and Bob's your cross dressing auntie...
As long as the post connections are secure and the connection on the 510 is solid everything should work fine...
I was interested in the genny aspect given hotspots would dramatically alter the resistance and therefore power supplied to the coil. Pulsing seems like it would be horrendous - so I've not tried.
But the Kayfuns and Squape thank me for the Kanthal daily.
