I got an rda here a new tool kit that came with some wire and cotton. Can i make do without a ohms reader. Would my mod read this. What is an actual ohm reader for ?

An ohm reader makes a great platform to build on and are essential for mech use but you can build on a regulated mod if you like [emoji6]

if you have a regulated mod then, no need for an ohms meter, more for checking mech builds really:assassin:

O great cheers guys so im guessing smok would be a regulated mod. Plus with making a coil its not as simple as just twisting the coil i suppose and screwing it in ? Im confused just on some of the tools ive just got, a jig tool is that the one used for turning the wire. This one i have im abit confused on how to use it. It has four different size tips which is okay. But also the main part i got but then smaller sizes of that how do i connect all of them ? Or have yhey all got to be connected they got different mesurements on the side

going to be a little easier just to jump on youtube and find a simple coil build video, than me trying to explain I think

but yeah the jigs different size bits correspond with the different size rods, changes the inner diameter of your coils , steam engine coil calculator(google it) will help you get what resistance you are after, size of coil etc

edit and yeah your smoks regulated, anything with a board and screen etc

I got one about 4 months ago and as above not essential. I use mine just for a stable base to make my coils and wick on my rda,s . But mostly its my mod that I use for my base.

Thanks yes good idea. Just another question sorry what about knowing what ohms you want your coil to be or what you want your coul to vape at. Maybe watch more youtube videos i think is a good idea.

Knowing what ohm's you want and what power is all personal preference and something you will learn as you build so watch a video or two and have a play with your new stuff and have fun doing it [emoji6]

thats kind of dependant on the resistance etc but no means set in stone, you'll want to build something similar in resistance to a what you've been using in sub tanks (stock coils) the coil calculator will help with size and resistance

you need at least one box mod or "Resistance Tester Coil Rebuilding Deck".
its not safe to build coils on mech mod.
