Evods don't taste right.

WOW!!! Just reading over all these replies here - it all seems like way too much fiddly hard work plus nail biting hassle to just get an effing smoke!!!! Not into all the technical DIY stuff myself ( regarding vaping devices/equipment etc) and not planning on upgrading to better gear either, liking keeping it basic and simple. But was not into gadgetry or any mod cons collecting etc. in the first place anyway ( cured myself of that a long time ago when the money kept running out and boxes everywhere )...

I just want to keep it simple as well. What set up are you using?

Abyss - sorry I meant to tag you on the last page. I got my protank mini today and I'm liking it much better than the evods - more throat hit, more taste, less "airy". They're on the pricier side because they're pyrex, but on the plus side that means you can use them with tank-crackers, and the replacement coil thingies are cheap enough and just need screwing in. The drip tip's metal which is a bit weird at first, but I believe there's a newer version with a replaceable drip tip so you could swap it for plastic or glass or whatever if you preferred.

Has anyone got any recommendations what I could use instead of these evods? I think, I may be better with a top coil system. I'm looking for something simple to use that just works. I've looked at the vivi novas but they look a little silly on the ego battery.

That's a real good deal but I don't need the extra battery or charger. Would probably look into getting a couple of these. Do they have the extra flavour wicks as well? Thanks.

Yep, looks as if they each come with 2 spare coil heads, which just screw in - even I can manage it ;-)

Both are 2.2 ohm's what come with it. But I'd have to order 1.8's as well.

Although I ain's 100% given up on these evods yet. I'm going to give them a real good wash in some alcohol.
