Expensive RBA's - Are they worth it

Never had an expensive RBA, But, I have tried a fair few...
The Kayfun to me, was actually a bit boring but I suspect that to be the juice choice.
The Pulse G, had a draw tighter than a nuns **** , but the flavour was incredible!

The only thing I've tried so far, that I WOULD give money for if I had it spare, is a quasar dripper. Other than that, nope. Nothing. :(

My Clone KF 3.1 performed better than my pukka KFL+, but the airflow control is gash now. The fill valve has never worked.
The Lite also has almost seamless joins compared to definate steps of the clone (FT), and has been kicked down 10 rows of the Sir Alex Ferguson stand, seperating top from bottom. It still went back together and works, and you'd be pushed to see the light scratch it sustained.

To get a decent KF cone costs nearly as much as a real one. I'd spend the extra in this case.

Sorry for being no fecking help at all!

maybe define expensive is a better option from everyones point of view, everyone will define expensive from
£30 - £150 and everyone has a different budget and a different View on real or Clone (i won't comment).

Every Attie will do one job wether that be Genni or Sliica or dripper, but not every Attie is defined to give the same results if that makes sense, PPL that know me I've been through a few :lol1:.

Vapingmonkey

i wony go on too much about genuine stuff, because i know people on here are probably bored of me going on.
i do only buy high end gear, i believe personally it is worth it. i get a lot of pleasure out of it and it keeps me satisfied.

that said, there is still some shit expensive stuff out there.
so my advice would be this, watch plenty of reviews and do a bit of homework.
also people on here are more than happy to advise.
although beware the majority are clone hoarders and will advise you on clones because thats what they have, or have used. and cannot give first hand recommendations on high end genuine stuff.

also, you say you had problems with your aga t2. i would say there is a good chance this is a genesis problem.
i have only used a couple i like. if you want a genesis, in my opinion you need to spend over £100 and you wont be able to just buy one, the good ones are unicorns. you will have to wait patiently, check websites daily etc.

however, what i will recommend to you is a kayfun lite plus from cloud9.
they are a piece of piss to set up, and will be much similar to building protanks than a genesis atty is - and a lot more forgiving. great vapour, great flavour, i doubt many people on here have a bad word to say about them.

i am always happy to advise and recommend, so feel free to pm me if you feel the need.
i have learned the hard way, ive been through a lot of stuff - Reevo will tell you
some brilliant, some awful. its the way it is.

I missed the Aga-T2 reference - they can be an utter pig.

The T2 was the first genny I bought and it took me an age to work out how to wick and coil it successfully. If you are using a mesh or stainless wick then firstly ensure it doesn't touch the bottom of the tank. Use fatter wire, limit the distance from of the top of the wick to the centre post and consider using cotton or Ekowool on the top of the wick.

Once you have it working well it vapes good and proper - I had two until this morning when my wife posted them off as I needed to declutter and raise money to pay Merino-Teflon. I hate having to pay protection money.

Sorry thats Tosh mate, I recall your problems and a few of us helped on this, any atty can handle taking the mesh touching the base of the atty as long as the wick has been oxidized correctly. I do agree the T2 is not one of the easiest to wick but as long as the bottom coil is off the deck and the top coil is below the top where it attaches all is good. It was my first genny the Aga.

Sorry not having a rant but the mesh can touch the bottom of a atty :)

I'll consider myself admonished and corrected then :D

I neither pulse oxidize, nor barbecue, I just torch the bit thats going to be coiled, so I don't let mine touch base, depends on your methods.
