Hi,
Just bought my first device (MVP v2), so not yet a fully fledged Vaper.

39 years of smoking, so this is a long overdue attempt to break a nasty habit.

I'm going to start with tobacco flavour juices to try and keep the pain to a minimum, so anyone that can recommend a good source would be appreciated.

As I understand it I should be starting with a fairly strong nicotine content to give myself the best chance of giving up a 30 - 40 a day habit. Again, any advice is welcome.

Warm welcome to the Planet.

Did you get any juices with your MVP?

I'm not going to recommend any particular juices or vendors as the choice is vast. There are loads of reviews, links, vendors here at POTV - have a good browse.

You may not like tobacco flavours so don't buy more than 10ml size bottles to start with. And don't limit yourself to tobacco, try a range of flavours.

:hugs: Hello there!!! The MVP is a good choice for a Starter Does what it say's on the tin and great battery life, I personally only lasted on Tobacco flavours for a couple of week's before I moved onto the Fruit and Dessert flavours, I found I was still smoking the odd Fag when I was using the Tobacco flavours!!! Good luck on your Journey.

Aloha man, good luck

I havent found many places where the tobacco flavour is up to much but there are plenty of discussions on here about it.

I couldnt stand the tobacco flavours but have found the fruit/sweet ones (and some bitter ones like coffee) are all good and seem to be preferred, menthol also seems very popular with people making the switch.

The nicotine content may not be the issue but the amount you use it, 18mg (or 1.8%) is classed as strong and i know 30 a day smokers find it too harsh and use a lighter version. I suggest trying to find some reasonable sampler packs so you can try a few flavours and strengths (if possible) without forking out too much

Welcome To Planet Of The Vapes

You probably want to start with 18mg of nicotine, Where are you located? I'm sure someone could point you in the direction of a good vape shop (brick & mortar) in your area to test some tobacco flavors.

Thanks for all the advice above.

I have a sample pack on order but finding a shop where I could try samples would be a great help.

I'm based in Bucks, Burnham, so anywhere in the Windsor, Slough, Maidenhead area would be great.

Thanks again... must be the friendliest forum I've ever seen.
No-ones sworn at me or called me an idiot... it seems strange but I like it.

Hi and welcome I thought when I started I thought tobacco was the right way to start and a high nic content but soon learnt that for me Tobacco tasted nothing like it and high nic was to harsh. But for you it might be the right way to go. But if not try some others as there is a lot to choose from.

Thanks, that seems to be a common suggestion to newbies like me.

It's hard to ignore the "fear" of going without my tobacco fix after nearly 40 years of smoking.

I'll start there and move on when I get a bit braver.
