doubt the hangsen vanilla custard will need much steeping .its probably made in big batches in advance .and been in the bottle for weeks .not like made to order stuff

You are probably right, however I am led to believe that steeping is best carried out with the bottle top removed so oxygen can react with the liquid.

But as I have no clue what I'm talking about, I have removed the lid from my Bagain Vapour Vanilla Custard and bunged it the fridge as a sort of experiment.

...er..bit of a pointless experiment anyway, because I will have no un-steeped Vanilla Custard to compare it with

Dunno, it's still steeping.
