I do buy clone mods and atties but if the item is from a UK modder I would rather not ....

I dont shit on my own door step.

If anyone on here (PotV) does poop on their own doorstep then please don't invite me round your house as refusal often offends. :)

I do buy cloned equipment. I wouldn't buy cloned juice.

If someone just out for a quick buck produces a badly cloned mech I can see what they have done and I may be able to fix it.

If some one is so lazy as to clone a juice and a brand, who is to say they aren't lazy about their ingredients. I can't see it and I can't fix it.

Some very good replies so far, thanks fellas!

Just to put the cat amongst the pidgeons a little more...

There are a plethora of different RY-4's (and concentrates) out there, what do you all make of that? Surely they are trying to rip off the original RY-4? Maybe not 1:1 clones but they're ripping off the name.

Discuss :D

I'd rather pay full price for something produced by a reputable company than something cheap you've knocked up in your kitchen!!!

I think if you want to sell juices, get a load of mixing gear, get a load of concentrates, 'discover' your own flavours. If they make the grade, give them a name, make a brand and sell them. People that know the 'big' juice brands will only by that juice from that brand, people that are purely searching for juices to try are just as likely to stumble across your own as they are your clones. Plus to clone a mod or attie you can see how it was made, juices you'd be guessing not only flavours but methods as well, it would never be the same. I wouldn't buy a cloned juice, and think 90% at least of regular users of POTV will feel the same. Saying all that, if you wanna take the route of cloning juices then good luck to you.

Hypothetically speaking, aside from the PG/VG and base nic (which i couldn't know which Grant uses), it would be a 1:1 clone, nothing cheap about it.

Also where i work i have access to a clean room and sterile equipment.

And i'm guessing most of the 'reputable' juice makers started in their kitchen, i'll bet some of them still use their kitchen. :umm:

In my eyes, to only hate a clone if the original product comes from your own country is pretty lame.

How many juice buyers need to tell you they wouldn't buy cloned juice before you'd see it wasn't a goer?

Make your own recipe. If it's good it'll sell.

I already make my own recipes :5: i've got so many bottles steeping i've lost track :grin2:

This thread was more of a social experiment, i see that cloned hardware is generally accepted, there is the odd person who'll frown upon it, but it seems that cloning juices is a whole different kettle of fish.

I do plan on experimenting further with custards at some point, but i'll likely create flavoured custards, vanilla custard is a bit over-done i think.

Thanks for everyones input, i've enjoyed reading all your responses :)

naive very naive.

but for those that say buying a cloned juice is different to buying cloned mods/atties, or that they use cloned devices but are well against cloned juice. have a word with yourself. it has to be one rule for all you cant pick and choose. your either pro clone or anti clone.
