It is different you Numpty, because a Cloned Mod is still basically a Steel tube with a Top cap and a switch whereas cloned juice could have any Old Shite in it!!!

Hypothetically speaking, aside from the PG/VG and base nic (which i couldn't know which Grant uses), it would be a 1:1 clone, nothing cheap about it.

Also where i work i have access to a clean room and sterile equipment.

And i'm guessing most of the 'reputable' juice makers started in their kitchen, i'll bet some of them still use their kitchen. :umm:
i've made several versions of the clone recipe...it's pretty close but i wouldnt say it was an exact copy.
even 'if' the basic recipe's the same..i've not seen any mention of how much or what type of sweetener is used,or for that matter how grant mixes and steeps his juice.
I'd doubt anyone but grant himself is capable of making it.
Secondly,
If i wasnt making my own ,ebay is the very last place i'd ever consider buying juice.

We did all start in our kitchens you are right ... at least a lot of us did .. perhaps not all - I know for a fact that most of us have moved beyond that.

my advice .. based purely on my own point of view .. and nothing else .. make your own flavour, make it exceptional - or at least something that some people will like and sell that, create a brand - you will receive a far higher personal satisfaction from doing so, and far more respect from the community at large.

dont rob someone else's idea to make a quick buck .. thats just allowing someone else to do all the leg work for you.

if you made a custard and called it your own name .. made a bit of your own twist on the flavouring .. people would try it .. some would like it. If you made a custard and put it on ebay and described it as "Just like Grants" you would get a few who would buy it... you would get a lot more who would shout you down.

this isn't me saying .. ohh no .. don't do that .. its me offering advice on a hypothetical situation as I see it.

This, I couldn't agree more.

If someone just used the recipe and I knew it, id avoid it.

IF it was me id do what I think is best, which is take the recipe a like, tweak it and develop it, make it your own.

And regards to kitchen mixing, the juice I would crawl butt naked through a field of barbed wire covered in salt is made by a bloke who started in his kitchen, I don't know if hes progressed I haven't asked nor do I care.

If it's not branded as GVC and no mention of GVC is in the description then it's not a knock off
It's just another custard

i think kitchen mixers get a bit of a bad rep..
a.everyone started there
b.their making it for themselves first and foremost, profit is of secondary concern.
c.ive worked in the catering trade and more unsavoury stuff goes on there than i've ever seen in my kitchen.(also see b).
