Hi @
vaporsizer !
Thank you for stopping by and helping me out on my new vaping journey!
Can I ask you about how many times in a row do you take am inhale? Are you doing this a couple or few times every 10-15 minutes or so?
I am so concerned because I am a nursing mother and know that you can smoke traditional cigsv and still nurse but I would rather not and use a vape to eliminate the thousands of carcinogens that I am taking into my body. My goal is to wean myself down to no nicotine eventually....please everyone don't judge me for this but I am being honest and already hate the fact that I have a habit of cigs and nurse
I have spoken to my lactation consultant as well as thepediatric doctor for my son.

Well lookee ! personally i'm not in a position to give advice to a nursing mother & would not like to give you the wrong impression or indeed the wrong advice. As an individual who is an ex smoker & for my part vaping was the activity that enabled me to stop smoking, i am content to persue vaping further & in fact i enjoy it.
Where the medical authorities stand with mothers who are breast feeding is a territory that your average vaper should not be advising you. After all there's a bit more at stake than just a question of weather or not an individual should vape or not.
I don't know the consequences of that area & yes you should definitely talk to your doctor about that.
If i was addressing you as just an individual with no baby involved i & many other people here would fall over ourselves to help you along your way with regards to vaping.
So. As an individual then, you, vaping is without doubt a realistic & great alternative to smoking. Those of us who have achieved it here will testify to that. There is a different side to vaping too which is the more advanced & hobby side of things & you ought to perhaps ignore all of that part at first (Assuming that you are going to vape that is) , after all you have enough on your plate already.
If you a real noob. There are some basics to get a hold of. I see you already have some gear. The EGO is not a brand but it's the type of battery. A rechargeable battery with a button on, normally pressing the button 5 times within 2 seconds will switch it on or off ( Sometimes 3 presses) . The 510, again not a brand but it is the screw thread type/size on the top of the battery, where you screw the top part on to.
Those batteries then... In general they are the popular choice for beginners but there are good quality branded ones available & some less desirable ones. The trusted & most recommended ones normally are made by 'Kanger Tech' & theirs are called 'evod' . If your batteries have 'ego' printed on them they are quite likely cheaper versions & might or might not be very good... You'll find out if they either keep working or fail.
Then there's the bit you screw onto the battery. In your case it sounds like a clearomizer ,a plastic tank with a mouthpiece at the top, a threaded bit for the battery at the bottom & a heater coil with a wick of some sort inside where the liquid goes.
The way you use this devise is simple... with the battery activated, press that button & wait a second then put it to your mouth & take a steady slow draw/drag. Release the button & finish drawing/dragging , inhale (If you want to)...Exhale. A bit different to a cigarette right ? but the general action by is the same-ish.
When that battery needs charging it will let you know by a flashing light around the button. Mine flashes 15 times to tell me it needs a charge. A good battey will take approx 2 1/2 to 5 hours charge time when plugged into a wall charger & should not be performed overnight or when you are going out because it is considered not safe to do so.
How often you use your vaporizer is your own choice but as a general guideline, if you overdo it your body will let you know you have had too much nicotine in the form of say,a headache or a queasy feeling...Or both. Remember that unlike smoking where you get a nicotine buzz quickly (2-4 seconds) the nicotine delivery from a vape is slower & so if you're not careful you can think that you havn't had enough & then keep vaping , but then it will catch up with you a bit later... O.K . You'll only do it once & that's enough to learn from.
I'm just a regular guy here & i'm not a moderator or admin, nothing like that & i don't have a qualification but i'm just reading into your situation & offering up some simple basics, that's all. There's loads of help the found on this forum & you can ask anytime you like, someone will offer up advise. There's no rush & if you want to quit smoking & use vaping as your tool then i hope it works for you. Don't pressure yourself to do it all at once & also expect some health changes as you progress. Most of those are down to quitting the cigs & not an effect of the vapor.
Best of luck.
